According to his attorney, former FBI special agent Peter Strzok is not doing a “whole lot” these days as he is reportedly struggling to land a new gig. Attorney Aitan Goelman told NewsNation host Dan Abrams that it was essentially former President Donald Trump’s fault that Strzok is having a hard time finding employment after being fired in 2018 following the release of leaked anti-Trump text messages.
The disgraced senior FBI official led the investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election. He likely doesn’t need to worry about paying his bills for a while as President Joe Biden’s Justice Department just handed him and his former mistress Lisa Page a $2 million payout in lawsuits claiming their privacy rights were violated.

Goelman said on “Dan Abrams Live” Tuesday that Strzok would be moving “forward with our constitutional claims that Pete was illegally fired in violation of his constitutional rights because he was fired for political reasons.”
“What is Peter Strzok doing these days?” Abrams asked.
“Um, not a whole lot,” the attorney replied.
“It’s been impossible for him to get a job, actually, because he’s become so notorious thanks to former President Trump and his enablers in the media. So, he has been looking for a job,” Goelman claimed.
“You know, as a former high-ranking FBI agent, you would think that he’d be easily employable, but people are, you know, afraid of controversy, and they’re afraid of being attacked by Mr. Trump and his minions,” he continued.
“I will say that what we’re asking for in this case is for Pete to be reinstated. As you might know, Pete was one of the best agents in the FBI, and the day that he was fired, good day for Donald Trump, good day for Putin, bad day for America, and we are looking forward to getting Pete back in that role. I’m sure Jim Jordan’s gonna be delighted when that happens,” Goelman said.
“We shall see if that happens,” Abrams responded.
Strzok reportedly settled his case against the Department of Justice for $1.2 million.

Strzok and Page “sued the Justice Department over a 2017 episode in which officials shared copies with reporters of text messages that they had sent each other, including ones that described Trump as an ‘idiot’ and a ‘loathsome human’ and that called the prospect of a Trump victory ‘terrifying,'” the Associated Press reported.
“Strzok has also sued the department over his termination, alleging that the FBI caved to ‘unrelenting pressure’ from Trump when it fired him and that his First Amendment rights were violated. Those constitutional claims remain pending,” the AP added.
