Piece on Kamala’s fashion sense has the left eating their own

A leftist outlet posted an op-ed that has liberals up in arms over what they are calling a “sexist” take on Vice President Kamala Harris.

The piece from The Daily Beast, titled Kamala Harris Is Well-Suited for President—but Poorly Dressed, seeks to make the point that Harris has not fully utilized the power of style to help her public image.

“In experience and qualifications, Kamala Harris is more than ready to become the first female president of the United States,” the article reads. “But amid the biggest political battle of her life, Harris has failed to leverage one of the most powerful communication tools for female leaders: her sense of style. There’s no underlying strategy—a fashion scaffolding, so to speak—that undergirds her clothing choices and unifies them with her core values and political messaging to reach her target audiences.”

It goes on to point out that even Governor Tim Walz has been complimented on his cohesive attire which makes him come across as an “all-American, everyman” type of guy. Harris, on the other hand, has a history of “poorly-tailored” pantsuits that “don’t do justice to her flawless skin, delicate face, and petite figure.”

“Furthermore, her jackets are too long and almost always buttoned at the waist—the most unflattering place a button can be for most women,” the author writes.

Despite the Beast being a left-leaning outlet, liberals were quick to jump on the piece:
