President Donald J. Trump’s 11 life-changing lessons

On Labor Day, the White House posted a video featuring 11 “life-changing lessons” from President Donald Trump.

The video featured snippets of Trump speaking taken from his May commencement address at the University of Alabama.

“Let me share some of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from a lifetime spent building dreams,” Trump said as the video began.

Lesson one was that there are no age restrictions to success.

“If you’re here today and think that you’re too young to do something great, let me tell you that you are wrong — you’re not too young,” the president explained.

Lesson two was that you gotta love what you do.

“You have to love what you do — I rarely see somebody that’s successful that doesn’t love what he or she does,” Trump noted.

Lesson three was that you gotta think big.

“The third thing is to think big — you know, if you’re going to do something, you might as well think big, because it’s just as hard to solve a small problem as a big problem,” the president said.

“And it’s just as much energy and everything else, except the result is going to be a smaller one,” he added.

Lesson four was that you gotta work hard.

“Work hard!” the president said. “Work hard.”

Lesson five was that you mustn’t lose your momentum.

“Don’t lose your momentum,” the president said. “You just want to keep it going. And you have to know, if you are losing it, you have to know when you’re losing it, so maybe you stop, and maybe it’s time to stop.”

Lesson six was that you gotta dare to be an outsider.

“If you want to change the world, you have to have the courage to be an outsider,” Trump explained. “In other words, you have to take certain risks and do things a little bit differently. Otherwise, if that wasn’t the case, everybody would be successful.”

Lesson seven was that you should trust your instincts.

“Number seven is to trust your instincts, common sense,” the president said. “You can go very far in life with common sense.”

Lesson eight was to believe in the American dream.

“Everybody should believe in the American dream,” the president implored. “It’s real, it’s there, and it’s right before you.”

Lesson nine was to always think of yourself as a winner.

“Think of yourself as a winner,” Trump declared. “The power of positive thinking. In recent years, too many of our young people have really been taught to think of themselves as victims.”

“But in America, we reject the idea that anyone is born a victim. Our heroes are the ones who take charge of their own destiny despite the odds,” he continued.

Lesson ten was to always be original.

“The all-time greats were people who had the confidence to be a little different,” the president said. “God only created one of you, so don’t try to be someone else.”

Lesson eleven was to never give up.

“Finally, and most importantly, never ever give up,” Trump said. “I’ve learned that perseverance is everything, so whatever happens, no matter where you are in life, stay optimistic, and just keep pushing forward.”

“Never let anyone tell you that something is impossible. Ever, ever, ever. In America, the impossible is what we all do best,” he concluded.

Leftists responded to Trump’s list in the dumbest way possible — by reupping their “Trump is dead” or “Trump is resigning” conspiracy:

Conservatives, meanwhile, took inspiration from Trump’s words.

“I’m not one of those MAGA folks who worship the ground he walks on and has Trump stickers everywhere, but this man truly is the most inspirational president in my lifetime,” one conservative tweeted.

“All solid pieces of advice on how to become a success from arguably the most successful American in history,” another wrote.
