President Trump says leftist groups are ‘already under investigation’ for part in Charlie Kirk’s murder

President Donald Trump and his administration are taking the assassination of Charlie Kirk extremely seriously.

The president himself is confirming that investigations are already underway into leftist groups regarding the death of Kirk, who was killed at an event in Utah. The president has long blamed radical leftists for the amplification of violent political rhetoric in the United States, and while speaking to reporters on the Morristown Airport tarmac in New Jersey, Trump revealed a little about what he says is going on behind the scenes.

Watch:

“Well, the problem is on the left. The problem is on the left if you look at the problem — it’s not on the right like some people like to say, on the right. The problem we have is on the left. When you look at the agitators, you look at the scum that speaks so badly of our country, the American flag burnings all over the place, that’s the left, that’s not the right,” the president said.

“You plan on investigating —” the reporter pushed.

“We’ll see. We’ll be announcing. They’re already under investigation. They’re already under major investigation. A lot of the people that you would traditionally say are on the left,” Trump added.

“Already under investigation?” the reporter clarified.

“Already under investigation.”

Trump was then asked about a comment he had previously made, implying that the foreigners in the United States may have their visas pulled if they “celebrated” Kirk’s killing publicly.

“No, we haven’t, but we are looking at names,” the president said. “We don’t like that, that’s not right. We wouldn’t celebrate if something happened on their side, and we don’t. These are sick people.”

Fox News is also reporting that a “source familiar with the investigation” into Kirk’s assassination has confirmed that leftist groups in Utah are currently under scrutiny by the FBI.

“The source told Fox News Digital that the FBI is investigating the leftist groups to see if they knew about the alleged shooter’s plans beforehand or provided any assistance to him. The source did not elaborate on which groups are being investigated,” the outlet reported.

According to Utah Governor Spencer Cox, the 22-year-old man suspected of killing Kirk is not cooperating with authorities, despite having allegedly confessed the crime to his father, who reportedly turned him in.

“He has not confessed to authorities. He is not cooperating, but all the people around him are cooperating. And I think that’s very important,” Cox revealed.
