The elderly Jewish man who died following a “physical altercation” at a pro-Israel rally in Thousand Oaks, California was “stalked” by his attacker, according to his friend. The friend, Jonathan Oswaks, described to the Jewish Journal how the attack played out.
Around the beginning of the protest, Oswaks and Paul Kessler, the man identified as the deceased victim of the Nov. 5th attack, met up with friends who’d arrived to the function with three flags: an Israeli flag, an American flag and the Gadsden flag.
“Paul insisted on holding the Israeli flag. I asked him at least three times to give it to me. Paul was a lot smaller than I am. … He was proud to hold that flag against the giant,” Oswaks recalled to the Jewish Journal.

At this point, Oswaks reportedly noticed that a group of pro-Palestinian protesters were setting up a public address system to be used to chant anti-Israel slogans.
“Oswaks told Kessler that ‘it’s gonna be best for us to be seen if we split up’ so Oswaks decided to go to the corner across the street; Oswaks again asked Kessler to give him the Israeli flag, but Kessler insisted that he continue to hold it,” the Journal notes.
This is when a pro-Palestinian man who’d been recording them decided to stand behind Oswaks with a megaphone in his ear, prompting him to tell the person to “get that f–king thing out of my ear — back up!”
Thankfully, the man complied — but only temporarily.
“He crossed the street because, as I said, he stalked us. He got nowhere with the bigger guy, so he went for the smaller guy. He came over [there] with the megaphone in his hand to do the same thing,” Oswaks recalled.
“Then all of a sudden, I see a punch. The reason I know I could see the punch was because it was the white megaphone flying through the air,” added.
The “punch” — a megaphone hitting Kessler in the face — caused the 69-year-old to reportedly fall back and sustain major head injuries that eventfully led to his death at a nearby hospital on Monday.
The perp has since been identified as Loay Alnaji, 50, a computer science professor at Moorpark College. His home was raided late Sunday evening, according to the Daily Mail.
Los Angeles area – a pro Hamas video has been discovered on the Instagram feed of Loay Alnaji, the college professor who hit Jewish individual Paul Kessler in the face with a megaphone, ultimately killing him.

“My husband was getting home from Costco when he saw a SWAT team, six cops with rifles and full gear. Their vehicles were not police cars, they were unmarked,” Alnaji’s neighbor told the Daily Mail.
“It’s shocking. As a Moorpark resident, I don’t like when anything happens here, as we’re known as one of the safest cities,” the neighbor added.
Just how radical is Alnaji? So much so that online he’d reportedly posted a video of a pro-Palestinian activist, Shahid King Bolsen, comparing the murderous terrorist group Hamas to historic civil rights icons.
“If someone asked me to condemn Hamas, I would say, what’s the rush? Let’s let history decide. You condemned Nelson Mandela until you didn’t, until he was a hero. You condemned Mahatma Gandhi until you didn’t. Let’s wait and see, because you might change you mind on this one too,” Bolsen reportedly said in the video.

Regarding Bolsen, the Daily Mail notes that he’s “a 52-year-old American Catholic convert to Islam who was sentenced to death in Dubai for murder.”
“The court later reduced his conviction to manslaughter and he was released after paying compensation to the victim’s family, the New York Times reported in 2015,” the Daily Mail’s reporting continues.
He’s since reportedly been accused of inciting violence against Americans and U.S. businesses in Egypt.
Dovetailing back to Alnaji, he’d also posted pro-Palestinian messages in Arabic to Facebook.
“O Allah, release the captivity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque… Sooner than later……..Oh Allah, don’t deprive us of praying in it before we die… Oh God, give victory to your weak servants in Palestine, and everywhere…O Allah, bind their hearts with the bond of patience and faith,” he reportedly wrote in one post.
