Pro-Marxist Dem senator from Georgia doubles net worth in 4 short years: report

To the surprise of nobody who has been paying attention, Democratic Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock has doubled his net worth since assuming office.

Warnock, who has espoused the virtues of Marxism and had his campaign backed heavily by George Soros, has more than doubled his wealth in just four years, according to the New York Post.

Financial disclosures reveal that Warnock’s net worth was around $1 million in 2020, but it is estimated that he was worth $2.2 million in 2024. This is a curious change for someone who believes that money should be redistributed to those facing financial hardship. It’s also ironic that during his race against Kelly Loeffler, which he would go on to win, he accused her of profiting from her seat.

“But records show he almost tripled his annual earnings, going from $242,101 when he was a reverend in 2020 to bringing in on average $659,977 each year since becoming a politician — between salaries for his various gigs, book deals and investments, records show,” The Post reported.

“He raked in a total of $357,058 in 2024, but that wasn’t even his best year since joining the Senate,” the outlet continued. “Warnock pulled in $666,767 in 2023, a whopping $985,118 in 2022 and $541,965 in 2021, records show.”

For the record, senators receive an annual salary of $174,000, “and they’re only allowed to earn up to $32,000 from side hustles.” Warnock makes about that much as the senior pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church.

So, where is the money coming from? Well, there is no limit placed on how much a politician can make from a book deal.

“And Warnock has hit the jackpot there, cashing in more than $1.5 million since he was elected through a lucrative contract for his 2022 memoir about his path from the projects to politics, ‘A Way Out of No Way,’ records show,” The Post noted. “Eight months after he took office, Warnock signed a deal with Penguin Books and received a $243,750 advance that year.”

In 2022, he earned $655,005 in royalties and in 2023 he made another $460,417 from sales. In June of 2023, he signed a two-book deal with the same publisher. To make good on that contract, Warnock released the children’s book “We’re in This Together: Leo’s Lunch Box” and will release the sequel “We’re All in This Together 2” at a date that has yet to be announced.
