Pro-Trump entrepreneur accuses Dem ‘party operatives’ of launching ‘coup’ against Biden

A prominent Silicon Valley Trump supporter is not happy with the concerted effort on the left to oust President Joe Biden.

In a tweet posted Friday, Craft Ventures co-founder David Sacks noted that some polls still show Biden winning the race, meaning that there’s no legitimate reason to replace him with another candidate.

“This is a coup against the president,” he posted.

But Sacks is no Biden supporter. So why complain? Because like other Trump supporters, Sacks recognizes that, despite a handful of outlier polls, most polls make it clear that Biden’s candidacy offers former President Donald Trump the best chance to reclaim the White House.

It’s the same reason why Trump’s advisers and allies were ecstatic when President Biden performed decently enough — save for a few gaffes — during his very late Thursday evening press conference.

The better he performs, the more likely he remains in the race — and thus the more likely that Trump wins reelection.

The problem is that the effort to oust Biden is picking up steam. Hours before Sacks posted his tweet, Axios ran a report revealing that “very-connected Democrats, mostly veterans of the Obama and Clinton administrations, are plotting hourly to get [Biden] to withdraw quickly.”

“They’re commissioning polls, lobbying former presidents, back-channeling Democratic leaders, organizing donors and taking the fight to Biden in a very public way,” Axios reported. “They’re the unofficial Committee to Unelect the President. The mission: Push Biden out of the presidential race — the sooner, the better.”

According to Axios, this network is “growing by the day” thanks to polls showing Democrats would likely perform much better against Trump with someone else at the helm.

Sacks’ complaints about the “coup” come a little over a month after he formally endorsed Trump and held a fundraiser for the former president at his multimillion-dollar home in San Francisco.

“Over the last couple of years, I have hosted events for presidential candidates Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as well as several Congressional figures in both major parties. I give to many, but endorse few,” he tweeted at the time.

“But today I am giving my endorsement to our 45th President, Donald J. Trump, to be our 47th President. My reasons rest on four main issues that I think are vital to American prosperity, security, and stability – issues where the Biden administration has veered badly off course and where I believe President Trump can lead us back,” he added.

The good news for Sacks is that President Biden made it very clear during a rally in Detroit this Friday that he’s going nowhere.

“You probably noticed there is a lot of speculation lately,” he said. “What is Joe Biden going to do? Is he going to stay in the race? Is he going to drop out?’ I am running and we’re going to win. We’re going to stand up for our Constitution and save our democracy!”

He then cited a recent Marist poll — a total outlier — showing him leading former President Donald Trump 50 percent to 48 percent.

“The narrative [is] that my campaign has fallen apart, they say,” he continued. “I’m the nominee of the Democratic Party, the only Democrat or Republican who has beaten Donald Trump, ever. I’m going to beat him again. I know him. Donald Trump is a loser.”

“I’m the nominee of this party because 14 million Democrats like you voted for me in the primaries. You made me the nominee, no one else. Not the press, not the pundits, not the insiders, not donors. You decided! No one else, and I’m not going anywhere!” he concluded.
