A white, female Willamette University professor is scheduled to host a veritable struggle session this month at a local library “for white people to reflect together on what it means to ‘do our work’ as white people.”
The professor, Emily Drew, predictably “teaches courses about racism, white supremacy, immigration, and social change,” according to a biography.
“Her research agenda revolves around understanding how race and racism get institutionalized, with the goal of helping to illuminate more effective strategies for interrupting systemic inequality,” the biography reads.
She also performs work for Crossroads, an “antiracism” consulting form whose mission centers on “dismantling racism” and “building racial justice in institutions.”

On Feb. 15th, Drew will host a conversation titled “Working on Our Whiteness” at the Salem Public Library.
The event description tells the whole story.
“Amid today’s social uprisings, many white people have become acutely aware that racism shapes our communities in Oregon and beyond. Many of us have also begun realizing how poorly our experiences have equipped us to make sense of these times, and we have many questions. Join Emily Drew in a conversation that asks, How can we who are white show up as more effective and less damaging participants in struggles to interrupt racism in our community?” it reads.
“How can white people engage in efforts to dismantle racism in ways that do not reproduce or place unfair burdens upon people of color to be our teachers? This conversation is for white people to reflect together on what it means to “do our work” as white people, which includes taking responsibility for one another, educating ourselves, and coming to view other white people as our partners—not competition—in developing antiracist identity,” it continues.
Notice how the event basically treats white people as an inferior species that needs to perform certain “work” to catch up with everybody else.
This isn’t the first time Drew has hosted such an event:

In June, she hosted yet another “Working on Our Whiteness” workshop at Coos History Museum.
In April, she hosted an event at Beaverton City Library for so-called “Karens.” Titled “Challenging Our Inner Becky: Interventions of White Women-ness in Our Community,” the so-called workshop was designed to encourage evidently problematic white women to fix themselves.
“Drew will help participants examine some of the common tendencies of white women that get in the way of advancing equity work and allyship. Drew said people often refer to these tendencies as ‘Becky’ or ‘Karen’ behaviors,” the Beaverton Valley Times reported at the time.
“But the April 13 workshop isn’t only open to white people or white women. Drew said she encourages non-white people “who have to live with the effects of Becky’s behavior every day” to join. Though she hopes to reach white audiences with the program, Drew said people will have a lot to offer at the event and could help keep the group accountable,” the paper added.
Speaking with the paper, Drew said, “My hope was to attract people who already knew racism was a problem, probably had a critique of the kinds of people who do racism, and to ask us to come and turn the mirror on ourselves and look at how does that same stuff live in us?”
These struggle sessions are, sadly, a dime a dozen these days, with grifters and actual believers (zealots, more like) across the country pushing this divisive, hateful, self-denigrating garbage.
As far as conservative radio show host Mark Levin is concerned, the people pushing this crap — including Drew — are all idiots.

Embarrassed to be an alum of @willamette_u . They will never see a dollar of my donations unless Emily Drew is removed. So glad my daughter wanted nothing to do with this school

Please answer this: when I see stuff like this come across, why is it always a white college professor or instructor making the claim or writing the article? What, exactly, do they teach?

I have the perfect amount of whiteness. This is how God made me. In fact, whatever amount of melatonin you have is the perfect amount. God makes no mistakes, people do by believing the lies the evil one has been spreading since the dawn of creation.
