MSNBC’s Joy Reid continued her anti-Trump ranting on air, warning that the former president’s campaign of “disinformation” is working.
The leftist host of “The ReidOut” drummed up another conspiracy theory accusing Republicans of rigging the election and laying the “groundwork for Insurrection 2.0.”
Reid accused Trump, his running mate Sen. J.D. Vance, and House and Senate Republicans of running “a massive disinformation campaign aimed at warping Americans’ reality” by “gaming social media apps” and filling the minds of Trump supporters with disinformation.
“Not quite foreign interference, but not exactly different from what Vladimir Putin would do,” she said.

“In many ways, the disinformation campaign is working. Base Republicans today believe everything from Democrats secretly manipulating the weather from a secret base in Alaska to Trump being incapable of losing this election — ‘he’s winning in a landslide.’ And some Democrats are starting to believe the disinformation too,” Reid blustered.
She further claimed that polls have shifted in Trump’s favor in the last few weeks as if that is a development that should raise suspicions.
“Yes, this race will be far too close, because unfortunately, we do have a fascist groundswell in parts of this country — mainly among white men, let’s be clear — but in small pockets among black and brown men too,” Reid claimed.
“There are lots of explanations for why you would want to game the polls,” she went on.
“Entrepreneurial Republican pollsters can certainly gain favor with Trump, who’s apparently fuming about Vice President Harris’s billion-dollar fundraising and positive press,” she said.
“And then there’s the more sinister explanation: that if Trump, Republican pollsters, and even jittery Democrats convince enough people that his victory is inevitable, how much easier would it be to claim that the election was stolen if he loses? How much easier would it be to get his base to rise up and maybe even get violent, the way they did when he lost the last time? How much easier would it be to get the Republican House Speaker or John Roberts and the right-wing Supreme Court conservatives to throw the election to Trump?” Reid said, fanning the flames of her conspiracy theories.
“These are the things we need to consider because Donald Trump is not running a normal election. He’s talking America into damn near a civil war to terrify voters into supporting him,” she concluded. “And if that doesn’t work, he’s laying the groundwork for Insurrection 2.0.”
While Reid’s MSNBC audience likely sputtered indignantly along with her claims, social media users called out her toxic rant on X.
This is gaslighting 101 lol.

I feel like the only goal of mainstream media is to scare as many people as humanly possible

This is pure scaremongering.
Trump is not the one calling for “Civil War Conditions” like Jamie Ratskin.
He’s not calling his opposition Hitler and concocting lies about everything.
They’re scared because when he wins, they’ll be out of a job.
Americans are fed up!

Here it comes. They are laying the preemptive groundwork to claim the election was rigged if Trump wins.
They accuse us of the very crimes that they commit.

It’s offical…. Trump has broken Joy Reid
— kevin smith (@kevin_smith45) October 15, 2024
The ongoing openly racist and blaming everything on white men tirades from Joy Reid have become extremely tiresome and lazy on her part.

Sounds like they’re already setting the stage for an inevitable Trump win. Watch them all suddenly become “election deniers” after crying about Trump being one for the last 4 years.

I feel dumber after wasting 3 minutes listening to this.
If any crime occurred, it was the theft of my time.
We should start a class action against Joy Reid.
