A former CBS News “abortion access” reporter who left the network to work for Planned Parenthood had a special ‘told you so’ message for doubters.
Kate Smith left CBS News to become the senior director for news content at Planned Parenthood for America, a gig that afforded her the freedom to now express her unbridled views on abortion.
And she did just that this week with a not-so-subtle “f–k you” to everyone who didn’t believe all her warnings about the demise of Roe v. Wade.
Though Smith was purportedly supposed to be covering the abortion debate as a professional journalist, her bias was clear and her subsequent jump over to Planned Parenthood cemented her position. But, in the wake of this week’s bombshell leak of a pending Supreme Court decision that could see the end of the 1973 case that legalized abortion, Smith unloaded on Twitter where she called out those who didn’t heed her warnings earlier.
“A big, hearty ‘f–k you’ to everyone who said I was overreacting by saying this could happen,” she tweeted.
“We weren’t overreacting, we were reacting to what they were telling us they were going to do,” she added.

“These aren’t hypotheticals. Your rights are on the line. NOW,” she wrote in another tweet after a meltdown about how she warned that “birth control and virtually everything else is next.”
This isn’t a “told ya so” tweet. This is a “you better listen when I tell you that birth control and virtually everything else is next” tweet.

Amy Coney Barrett refused to say whether she thought IVF was constitutional during her confirmation hearings.
She refused to say whether Griswold v CT was correctly decided.

While many pro-choice voices on Twitter concurred with Smith’s rage, others called her out for overreacting and for once pretending to be an objective journalist.
Just as a reminder, until recently this person had a job covering abortion full-time or a major news network –> https://t.co/BRXPjvEmwe

I mean you’re kinda overreacting right now. First, no actual decision has been made. Second, even if Roe is struck down, the actual decision could be different from the leaked opinion. Third, most states will be business as usual………

At the time of ACB’s confirmation, Kate Smith was employed by CBS News under the pretext of being an objective journalist. Weird. https://t.co/aF3a6Oqjwq

How arrogant…
Kate knows better than you, don’t question Kate… blindly follow whatever she says. Kate is your master and oracle. Do not question Kate.#ppfa #PlannedParenthood #KateKnowsBest https://t.co/xSiWsYZjyJ

Gotta love how Kate was supposedly a reporter for CBS freaking News
Kate Smith is one of the best examples of how too many D.C. and New York journalists are actually just liberal activists with a laptop. https://t.co/P3jXBV0ZPr
