Hundreds of passengers were told to get down and take cover as the armed woman went on a rampage in case she had a gun or a bomb in her backpack according to the Daily Mail.
One passenger caught the incident on their cell phone. It showed airport staff and police attempting to reason with the mentally disturbed woman. She responded by loudly ranting and waving her knife all over the place just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
She stabbed one man at the airport’s west crossover before heading to the security area where she was confronted by police.
“During the encounter, the female suspect stabbed an adult female and then an APD lieutenant as he attempted to take her into custody,” Atlanta Police announced via a statement.

Passengers watched in shock from behind a glass barrier as the incident played out. At points during the altercation, the woman pointed her knife at those behind the glass wall.
“It’s very dynamic folks,” an airport security guard advised passengers, “So we’re going to get you off here as quickly as we can. I don’t believe you are in any imminent danger.”
An editor with Border Belt Independent in North Carolina named Sarah Nagem was standing in line when the incident went down. She said the airport staff described it to passengers as a “domestic incident.”

The retired officer, who had returned to active duty at the spry age of 71, suffered a severed artery after he was stabbed in the thigh.
Another stabbing involved a female ticket clerk. After that, the attacker was overpowered and taken into custody by a second police officer.
There was a trail of blood, clothing, and debris left in her wake.
“When we did encounter her, there had already been that stabbing that occurred,” Atlanta Police Sergeant John Chafee said referring to the first man who was stabbed.
“There’s a little bit of a moment that happened there. It doesn’t appear that there’s a connection between her and them, but that’s something we’ll be looking into,” he added.

As the woman was subdued, kneeling passengers stood and cheered airport security and police officers as she was cuffed and allowed to stand up.
The motive for the stabbing spree is unknown currently. Police are expected to determine it by the time the woman is charged.
All three victims survived the brutal attack and were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Approximately 40 minutes after the first stabbing, the Atlanta International Airport issued an all-clear. No flights were reportedly delayed due to the incident.
“The areas where the crime scenes are blocked off, but there’s multiple different entrances that can be used at the airport,” Chafee noted.
The violence in Atlanta and other Democrat-led cities has spiraled out of control and residents are warning others over it.
