Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy has an immigration fix that makes sense to anyone without a liberal brain but the plan sent leftists into a meltdown.
The former Republican presidential candidate took to social media to share his solution to the nation’s “immigration problem,” prompting agreement from X owner Elon Musk.
“Shut down the entitlement state & you solve most of the immigration problem right there,” Ramaswamy wrote on X.
“We need to man up & fix the root cause that draws migrants here in the first place: the welfare state,” he added. “But no one seems to want to say that part out loud, because too many native-born Americans are addicted to it themselves.”

“What Vivek says is, of course, true,” Musk wrote in response.
“The ‘social safety net’ of state & federal government payments is a powerful magnet for anyone living below that standard (over 5 billion people) to move to the United States,” the Tesla CEO added.
“Couple that with open borders and obviously vast numbers of people will move here. It would be absurd to expect any other outcome,” he concluded.

The idea of a plan that would eliminate the migrant problem while also eradicating other societal issues was too much for those on the left to handle. They came out in droves to bash Ramaswamy.

I disagree with this
In my experience, the vast majority of people coming across are coming here to live life
They simply want to work & start businesses and be with their families
It’s time you move past silly republican talking points

Vivek is a hedgefund guy who wants you to believe he is interested in public service so he can eliminate government from public life and in effect mount a private sector takeover of the country. He can’t say that. So he swaddles his ambition in talking points that pander to you

Many X users applauded the idea, however.
Solutions instead of “band-aids” that don’t stop the continued “cuts” that hurt America. Why we respect and admire the common-sense of @VivekGRamaswamy. No wall needed. No deportation necessary. People will leave as soon as the free stuff stops.

Absolutely spot on, Vivek!
Cutting the welfare miasma could solve so much.
It’s time to address the root issues and empower individuals to stand on their own two feet.

Reduce government size by 90% and give power back to the people.
The larger government gets the less ability it has to efficiently serve the people.

When people become reliant on government handouts, the only thing they are actually receiving is permanent guaranteed mediocrity.
