Raskin declares ‘No Kings’ but post shows otherwise with that flag that Dems bow down to

Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin was all for declaring “No Kings” in the nation, but the optics of a social media post spoke volumes.

The Maryland lawmaker touted the protests that must have been disappointing to his party in a weekend filled with other breaking news. But his post on X declaring, “We have no Kings and no subjects in the United States of America,” painted a different picture for many observers.

Raskin’s photo featuring a rainbow flag – posted on Flag Day – drew plenty of criticism.

“We have no kings here. We have no queens here. We have no emperors. We have no dictators, we have no despots, and we have no serfs and no slaves, and no subjects. And none of us is a subject to Donald Trump. None of us is a subject to Mike Johnson,” Raskin said to reporters in front of the U.S. Capitol last week before the planned “No Kings” demonstrations.

“We are all citizens. Those of us who aspire and attain to public office are nothing but the servants of the people,” he added, invoking the U.S. Constitution, which Democrats do when it fits the narrative.

Even as the protests seemed to be drowned out by other breaking news, Raskin still took to X on Saturday evening to jab at President Donald Trump and go back to the debunked Russia hoax.
