Anti-Trump Hollywood star Alan Ritchson left a mysterious message on social media in the wake of his now-viral brawl with a neighbor.
Over the weekend, TMZ released video footage showing Ritchson whooping a neighbor on foot near his home in Tennessee while his two sons sat nearby on motorbikes.

The neighbor, Ronnie Taylor, later told TMZ that the drama started a day earlier when he tried to confront Ritchson for driving too fast through the neighborhood on his motorbike, loudly revving his engine, and allegedly disturbing the peace.
The drama escalated when Taylor tried to confront Ritchson again on Sunday. According to Ritchson’s allies, it wasn’t until he was pushed off his bike twice by Taylor that he got physical.
Bodycam footage from Ritchson appears to confirm this:

The police later concluded that Ritchson had indeed acted in self-defense. Yet despite acting in self-defense and being in the right, he chose not to pursue charges against Taylor.
“After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued,” Brentwood, Tennessee Police Captain Steven Pepin told The Hollywood Reporter. “Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defense.”
“Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges. With the agreement of the District Attorney’s Office, the case is now closed, and no further action will be taken,” he added.
Taylor eventually fessed up to the truth, telling TMZ that he started it by shoving Ritchson off his bike and then daring the actor to hit him.
“On Sunday, when I was cleaning my bike outside my house, he rode past once, twice, and on the second time, I walked out in front of him, and I said, ‘You’ve got to stop. Someone’s going to get hurt,'” Taylor recalled.
“Then it escalated quite quickly from there. I did push him because he was coming toward me on his bike,” he added without noting that he’d stepped out in front of Ritchson’s bike. “He did it again for a second time. I pushed him a second time, and I think the second time he got off his bike and kicked the crap outta me.”
After Taylor spoke out, telling his side of the story, Ritchson took to Instagram, where he posted a quote from Napoleon Bonaparte.
“Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake,” the quote read.

Ritchson is notoriously anti-Trump. In 2024, he complained to The Hollywood Reporter that former President Donald Trump “is a rapist and a con man, and yet the entire Christian church seems to be treating him like he’s their poster child.”
He later doubled down in a YouTube video, this time going so far as to needlessly trash-talk conservative Christian Trump supporters.
“So if we go to the prophets, what do they say?” he rhetorically asked. “‘Do what is just and right. Rescue from the hand of the oppressor, the one who has been wronged. Do no wrong or violence to the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow.’”
“When I think about that, I think about politics. And when I think about this, I think about an entire platform by those who mostly claim to be Christians, who are doing the exact opposite of this with their voting power — who are trying to do violence to the foreigner, who are not helping the fatherless, who are making victims of widows,” he added.
The part about the “foreigner” was presumably a reference to the right’s opposition to illegal migration and mass migration.
“This is the kind of generosity we are called to, and it’s for everybody,” he continued. “It’s not just for believers. It’s not just for those who have been indoctrinated into the church. It’s not just for those who are American or fit your nation state or fly your flag. It is for everybody!”
“If you want to see violence flee the world, be more generous to everybody! That is the Christian ethic! That is what I don’t see happening. And when I speak up about it in my own ways, I’m met with violence. The antidote to violence is generosity. Generosity is owed to individuals, not to institutions,” he concluded.
