NBC News has been accused of running cover for Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman’s obvious health issues.
On Wednesday, the establishment outlet published a report accusing independent GOP operative Greg Price of sharing “doctored videos” of Fetterman speaking.
Scoop: Doctored videos of Dr. Oz Senate seat challenger @JohnFetterman that exaggerate his speech issues post-stroke went viral this week on Twitter and TikTok, bringing in hundreds of thousands of views. https://t.co/uxC6768Qv4

“Deceptively edited videos that have been viewed hundreds of thousands of times on Twitter and TikTok exaggerate the speech issues that have plagued John Fetterman, the Democratic nominee for Pennsylvania’s open U.S. Senate seat, after he had a stroke in May. Despite policies on both platforms against political misinformation, the videos remained up for days and were shared by Fetterman’s critics,” NBC News claimed.
“The videos include slight edits, such as cutting out the sound of the audience to make it appear as if he had abruptly stopped speaking (some of the stops occurred when he was pausing during moments of applause and crowd reaction, according to unedited videos seen by NBC News). Other edits cut Fetterman off midsentence, to create the perception that what he was saying was nonsensical.”
But according to Price, NBC News is full of it. In a Twitter thread posted late Wednesday, he explained that the videos weren’t doctored. They were just highlight reels clearly showing that something is wrong with Fetterman.
Look:
So NBC News decided to accuse me of doctoring videos of John Fetterman that I posted. (I didn’t doctor anything)
They also reached out to Twitter to try and get them censored.
And the bastards didn’t even include my full comment! pic.twitter.com/Sq1LtxNa1R

Here’s the first video they accuse me of doctoring. As you can see, nothing is doctored. I simply took things he said during a rally and edited them together into a Supercut.https://t.co/pQXAB734aQ

Here’s the second, less viral video than the first one. I got it from a TikTok. The crowd noise is apparently blacked out but that doesn’t exactly change the fact that the man is unable to speak properly.https://t.co/ME31GiNMPI

Instead of reporting on how Fetterman’s handlers are hiding him from the public as much as they can due to his clear inability to speak properly, NBC News is working with them to try and censor me because I tweeted videos exposing it.

And in case you were interested, here’s the garbage liberal hack who accused me of doctoring videos and tried to get Big Tech giants to censor them.
What a loser.https://t.co/QGaqbmPHSl

But as is often the case when the media tell blatant lies, it was too late, and droves of gullible Americans — all of them potential voters — had already fallen hook, line, and sinker for the false narrative that Republicans are trying to smear Fetterman.
Many gullible Americans also automatically assumed that Fetterman’s challenger, Republican candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz, was responsible for the video.
“I know this is a common tactic of Republicans, but I would have thought that a doctor would never sink so low as to insult or demean a man for having a stroke. I’m not surprised, just disgusted and sad,” one gullible critic tweeted.
“GOP must cheat to have any hope of winning an election,” another added.
However, this sort of response did provoke pushback from those who knew better:
You guys in the comments all know the videos aren’t doctored, right?

They don’t care. There’s a narrative to support; facts be damned.

Interesting use of the word “doctored”. Have you ever seen a super cut? Google it, tech guy.

So why are Fetterman’s handlers so resistant to a September debate if he’s just the victim of unfair editing?
It couldn’t be because, edited vids or not, he’s clearly a stroked-out mess at the podium, could it?

Notice what the latter user said about a September debate. Fetterman has adamantly refused to debate Dr. Oz. Only this week did he finally agree to one debate, but not until the end of October, weeks after early voting begins in Pennsylvania.
His Republican critics believe he’s been purposefully avoiding a debate because of his speaking issues. If voters were to see him speaking live, critics say, they’d see that he’s not fit for office.

Interestingly, even The Washington Post has raised concerns about Fetterman’s refusal to debate.
“Mr. Fetterman has seemingly been reluctant to commit to firm debate dates, and that troubling stance has raised questions about whether he, still recovering from a serious stroke, is fit to serve in the Senate,” the Post’s far-left editorial board wrote in a column published Monday.
“Mr. Oz has pressed for five debates, but Mr. Fetterman dodged and ducked before tentatively agreeing last week to one but not until ‘sometime in the middle to end of October.’ That’s well after Sept. 19, when voters can start casting mail-in ballots, and it’s short of the two debates that had been the standard during recent competitive Senate contests in Pennsylvania.”
The @washingtonpost editorial board called out @JohnFetterman for lying about his health and said he has to debate @DrOz to prove he’s up for the job of senator. When the Washington Post is calling out a Democrat, it’s really bad. https://t.co/oVnlNYRaWC
