Rep. Anna Paulina Luna demands Swalwell RESIGN from Congress – key Dem joins chorus

The California gubernatorial campaign of Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) has gone up in flames over serious allegations of sexual assault by multiple women, and calls have already begun for his ouster from Congress.

After weeks of buildup, the dam finally broke when the San Francisco Chronicle published a devastating story on Friday in which a former staffer accused the congressman of sexually assaulting her when she was drunk, and CNN reported on three other women alleging that they experienced incidents of sexual misconduct by the philandering lawmaker who is married.

“I was pushing him off of me, saying no,” the alleged victim told CNN of the purported incident, which she said occurred in 2024 when she was no longer working for his office and left her bruised and bleeding. “He didn’t stop.”

Swalwell has vehemently denied the allegations.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) has heard enough and is demanding her Democrat colleague’s resignation and urged his party’s leadership to do likewise.

“I am calling on @RepSwalwell to resign from office. Idk in what parallel universe we are living in that elected members of congress begin to chose politics and party BS over basic human dignity. I have called for Republican members to do the same when they are caught doing corrupt and morally bankrupt crap. Dem leadership needs to do the same,” the Florida Republican wrote in a Friday post to X.

Luna was joined by fellow Republican House Members, including Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), who is herself a rape survivor.

“Another member of Congress facing heinous and disgusting sexual misconduct allegations and this time, it’s Eric Swalwell,” she wrote on X. “Four women. A former staffer says he raped her while she was heavily intoxicated and left her bleeding and bruised. Unsolicited nude photos. Sexual assault. One pattern.”

“An alleged predator has no business serving in Congress. Eric Swalwell must RESIGN immediately. We tried to expose this kind of behavior in Congress. Our resolution to release congressional sexual harassment records was killed by BOTH parties, protecting themselves and their friends,” Mace said. “The American people deserve to know what their so-called representatives are hiding.”

While House Democrats have yet to do the right thing by joining the calls for his resignation from Congress, one former Democrat lawmaker of note has.

“Mr. Swalwell should end his campaign and resign from Congress immediately,” wrote Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, a longtime House member. “His conduct is incompatible with elected office. The women who came forward deserve to be heard and deserve justice.”

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) announced that she was going to introduce a privileged resolution to censure Swalwell.

Swalwell is in big-time trouble with his political career in serious jeopardy, although it should have ended long ago after his romp with female Chinese spy Christine Fang, aka Fang Fang.

This tweet certainly hasn’t aged very well.

Despite the calls for him to drop out of the governor’s race, Swalwell is defiant and vows to fight his accusers.

“These allegations of sexual assault are flat false,” he said in a social media video as staffers began to flee his campaign like rats jumping from a sinking ship. “They are absolutely false. They did not happen. They have never happened. And I will fight them with everything that I have.”
