Rep. Jasmine Crockett isn’t taking her primary loss well

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) isn’t taking her primary loss to fellow Democrat James Talarico very well.

According to The Daily Mail, Crockett blamed Republicans for her defeat after the state Supreme Court ruled that voters in Dallas would not get an extension amid polling station confusion.

“Polling location restrictions led Democratic officials, including Crockett, to accuse Republicans of disenfranchising voters. Residents in Dallas and areas north of Austin were turned away at their local polling locations and directed to different precincts,” the outlet reported.

Crockett complained about it during a speech to her audience before storming out of the event.

“Unfortunately, this is what Republicans like to do… and so they specifically targeted Dallas county, and I think we all know why,” she moaned. “So, I want you to enjoy yourself, but I won’t be back tonight because I don’t know when we will fully get results, and I don’t anticipate it will be until tomorrow.”

She continued to share this sentiment throughout the night.

Meanwhile, Talarico avoided claiming victory in a 1 am speech to his own people, as the Associated Press didn’t call the race until 2:37 am Wednesday morning.

“Tonight the people of our state gave our country a little bit of hope and a little bit of hope. And a little bit of hope is a dangerous thing,” he said.

On Wednesday, Crockett published a post to X, revealing she had congratulated Talarico and claiming that “Texas is primed to turn blue.”

“This morning I called James and congratulated him on becoming the Senate nominee. Texas is primed to turn blue, and we must remain united because this is bigger than any one person. This is about the future of all 30 million Texans and getting America back on track. With the primary behind us, Democrats must rally around our nominees and win. I’m committed to doing my part and will continue working to elect democrats up and down the ballot,” she wrote.
