A convicted trans sex offender who exposed himself to women and children at a school girls’ locker room had the gall to demand that the prosecution stop “misgendering” him in a Virginia court.
Registered sex offender Richard Cox, who purports to be a woman, appeared in court on Sept. 24 for a lengthy preliminary hearing during which a dozen witnesses testified that they’d seen him naked.
The witnesses included “women who said they saw him naked in the women’s locker rooms in Arlington County‘s Wakefield High School, Washington Liberty High School, and Barcroft Sports and Fitness Center,” according to D.C. station WJLA.
One witness described entering a girls’ locker room after her five-year-old daughter’s swim class, only to find Vox standing naked in a shower stall touching himself while the stall curtain was open.
Another witness said she and her five- and six-year-old daughters saw Cox naked when they entered the girls’ locker room for a gymnastics class at the Barcroft Sports and Fitness Center.
An Arlington detective, meanwhile, testified that she found child pornography and children’s gymnastic and swimming class schedules on his phone.

During the hearing, Cox reportedly demanded that the judge force the prosecution to stop “misgendering” him and start referring to him as a woman. The request was denied — and rightly so.
Besides being a creep, the guy’s also a convicted Tier III sex offender, meaning he’s the worst type of sex offender imaginable. His record shows his convictions date back to as early as 1992, when he was convicted for “taking indecent liberties with children.”
What makes Cox’s case particularly frustrating is that Arlington County and Arlington Public Schools both allow people like him to use whichever locker room and bathroom that fits their so-called “gender identity.”
In fact, Cox has been getting away with showering naked in local women’s facilities since 2024. It wasn’t until he started exposing himself that charges were finally filed against him.
Cox has also been seen in women’s locker rooms in nearby Fairfax County, which also allows people like him to use whichever locker room and bathroom that fits their so-called “gender identity.”
However, he remains uncharged in the county, “where a Dem-majority board oversees the cops,” according to the New York Post.
For months, I’ve been trying to interview Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis about why FCPD hasn’t charged a sex offender for allegedly exposing himself in women’s locker rooms across the county. “FCPD conducted a full criminal investigation into Richard Cox’s actions, and there is no probable cause to support charges in Fairfax County at this time,” the local police reportedly said in a statement.
The case has attracted the attention of Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares, a Republican who last Friday accused Cox of hunting for girls.
“It is clear, given his past conduct, that he sought children out in a very deliberate, systemic manner for sexual gratification,” Miyares said. “He kept on his phone the schedule of the girl’s swim team so he could literally travel where they were and walk into their safe places.”
“To date, he still, despite multiple exposure incidents, the Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office has refused to initiate proceedings against Cox,” the AG added.
Let’s be clear — Richard Cox was hunting little girls in Fairfax County.

Miyares also reportedly demanded that state lawmakers permit his office to push legislation that’d allow him to target creeps like Cox.
“He [Cox] should have been prosecuted when he used his state-issued driver’s license to get access at [Fairfax County] Planet Fitness into the women’s locker room, and it was right next door to a childcare center in violation of his terms of probation,” he continued.
“But because you [Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano] refused to do your job, then he [Cox] was allowed to go into Arlington multiple times and these swim classes,” Miyares concluded.
