RFK Jr. makes a big ‘day one’ promise if Trump wins

Former Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has vowed to take on the “industrial waste” in America’s water supply if former President Donald Trump wins the election.

Kennedy took to social media to remind that Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump “want to Make America Healthy Again” and will act to remove fluoride from public water once in office.

“On January 20, the Trump White House will advise all U.S. water systems to remove fluoride from public water,” Kennedy wrote on X. “Fluoride is an industrial waste associated with arthritis, bone fractures, bone cancer, IQ loss, neurodevelopmental disorders, and thyroid disease.”

Trump has described Kennedy as “a very talented guy and has strong views” and told NBC News on Sunday that, although he hasn’t spoken with the former Democrat about fluoride yet, “it sounds OK to me. You know it’s possible.”

“In 1950, federal officials endorsed water fluoridation to prevent tooth decay and continued to promote it even after fluoride toothpaste brands hit the market several years later. Though fluoride can come from a number of sources, drinking water is the main source for Americans, researchers say,” the Associated Press reported.

“In August, a federal agency determined “with moderate confidence” that there is a link between higher levels of fluoride exposure and lower IQ in kids. The National Toxicology Program based its conclusion on studies involving fluoride levels at about twice the recommended limit for drinking water,” the outlet added, noting that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency was ordered to regulate and lower the risk of fluoride in drinking water.

RFK Jr. interacted with some X users who questioned the plan.

Many others expressed their support and approval of the idea.
