Saturday, the latest episode of the “Club Random Podcast” dropped featuring a discussion between Maher and University of Kentucky NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines. The conversation with the athlete turned activist hadn’t gone far before the subject of Lia Thomas was raised along with his extra baggage.
“How big is it?” asked the host bluntly after wondering directly, “You’ve seen her c*ck?”
Rather than humor the salacious query, Gaines initially tried to tackle the broader issue of men competing against women by pointing out that she does not use any preferred gender language or self-identifying terms associated with Thomas whom she tied with in the 2022 NCAA Women’s Championships. “I don’t use she/her pronouns when referring to Thomas and I call it a male. I think even using the term ‘trans-woman’ is giving Thomas some of our language as women.”
Maher said “I’m basically on that page” but didn’t let his guest off the hook and pressed once more on the matter of Thomas’ endowment.
“I was trying to run away from this question. 6-foot-4 male. Use your imagination,” she contended without going into detail.
The comedian argued against there being any such direct correlation as he asked once more to which Gaines asserted, “That was a situation I tried to refrain from looking at entirely.”
“We can’t unsee it. I mean, being in that space with a male, it’s like a bad car wreck,” she added having previously testified before Congress, “Let me be clear about this: we were not forewarned we would be sharing a locker room. No one asked for our consent, and we did not give our consent.”
The stalwart progressivism of Maher didn’t prevent him from acknowledging the reality so often denied by leftists on the matter of “wokeness.”
“It’s not a fringe. It’s not just a few people,” he argued as he took umbrage with how the “T” in the “LGBT” movement had clawed to the forefront with a far different goal than others who fly the rainbow standard.
“They really wanted equality,” Maher said of gays and lesbians. “What I’m noticing with this trans movement is they don’t want equality. They want to take our rights. They don’t want the same rights. They want our rights. It’s not the same.”
The former athlete who now acts in an advisory capacity for the non-profit organization Independent Women’s Forum, turned the conversation to the big picture and decried the lack of masculinity in society.
“Think about this. 1940s, World War II, men lied about their age to get in to enlist,” she framed. “Now, in 2023, we have men lying about their sex to get into women’s sports, or women’s prisons, or domestic shelters, or sororities or bathrooms, locker rooms.”
“We need men to protect and provide,” Gaines expressed and affirmed, “I want a man to provide for me.”
