Rob Reiner’s less-than-triumphant return to X met with mockery: ‘Cry harder’

Actor, filmmaker, and prolific leftist Rob Reiner has finally returned to X just to get laughed back off the platform.

Reiner hadn’t tweeted since November 5, when he confidently declared that Vice President Kamala Harris was going to win the election and become America’s 47th president.

And then, she didn’t. Reiner transitioned to social media outlet Bluesky, a Twitter clone, and hadn’t been back to X since. Until Wednesday night when he made a not-so-triumphant return to the platform to share a message of doom and gloom.

“Now that America has elected a Convicted Felon with Authoritarian proclivities, I fear that Democracy’s return won’t be any time soon. The long term solutions are daunting. Democrats need to re adopt the 50 state strategy. And most importantly, a competitive information distribution system must be built to combat the massive disinformation currently being fed to the American people,” he wrote.

Nothing says you’re confident in your political party’s policies like demanding control of the flow of information.

X users gathered to point and laugh at Reiner:
