Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has effectively unveiled his border policy, and it’s a total hit.
The 69-year-old dissident Democrat revealed the policy in a Twitter thread he published on Monday. The thread began with him stressing that it’s not “xenophobic” to raise concerns about the border crisis.
“When it comes to the divisive issue of border policy, here is the first principle I want everyone to understand. The reason for strong border control is not xenophobia, bigotry, or hate. The reason is humanitarian conscience. #Kennedy24,” he wrote.
“Democrats and Republicans can agree that the humanitarian nightmare that has resulted from essentially handing immigration policy to the drug cartels is unacceptable. We need to take back control,” he added.

Continuing the thread, he noted that he supports immigration — as most Republicans and Democrats do as well — but only LAWFUL immigration.
“I am in favor of immigration. But it must be lawful, orderly, and at a volume the country can absorb without straining social resources,” he explained.
RFK then slammed the Biden administration by name for exacerbating the border crisis.
“Ruthless criminal cartels have woven drugs, immigration, and human trafficking together into a multi-billion dollar business. Biden administration policy has greatly exacerbated the situation. The border is out of control. Immigration is being administered by the cartels, not our government,” he wrote.
“Just as a cell has a membrane, a country must have borders or it will disintegrate,” he added.

Kennedy concluded the thread by laying out his exact policy.
“I am going to destroy the cartels’ business model. Here’s how: Our policy will be first, to get the border under control. Second, to work with other countries to stem the tide of migrants. Third, to fully fund and prioritize the administrative infrastructure for lawful, orderly immigration to this country,” he wrote.
“We can seal the border with technology and personnel. Cameras, motion detectors, lights, and where necessary, physical barriers. That part is easy. All we need is the will to do it,” he added.
Notice how he said that all that’s needed “is the will to do it.” That is currently lacking because this administration genuinely believes solving the border crisis requires first resolving the so-called “root causes” of migration.
That’s why this administration has done virtually nothing to secure the border and stop the endless flow of illegal aliens into the United States.
Kennedy also vowed to hire more immigration judges and stop supporting corrupt regimes south of the border.

We can hire more immigration judges so people can’t come to border, claim asylum + put down roots awaiting court date years in the future. They should get a hearing right away. This will encourage those without valid asylum cases to pursue legal immigration, which we will make…

I will institute a new kind of Good Neighbor policy in Latin America. Stop supporting coups, juntas + death squads. Stop supporting governments that block land + labor reform. Stop imposing neoliberal austerity + debt that impoverish people + send them fleeing north. #Kennedy24

As noted up top, the policy is a total hit, with Twitter users rushing to praise Kennedy for being the first Democrat to propose a genuine border crisis solution.

Sir, thank you for broadcasting this. Too many Democrats are upside down on this issue.

This is excellent step in the right direction! I’m curious how anyone of either party could disagree with You on this! It’s absolutely the right direction!

I agree with you sir.
We also need to have order and not chaos.
