‘Roll tape!’ Stacey Abrams denies denying results of 2018 election, but the RNC has receipts

Much noise has been made on the left about the dangers associated with denying the outcomes of elections, but Stacey Abrams has fallen so far down that rabbit hole that she is now denying having denied the results of the 2018 gubernatorial election herself.

During an appearance on CNN, Abrams boldly declared that she had never actually questioned who had won the election, but rather she had questioned the process. Apparently, the way she remembers it is that she was just worried about voter suppression, and was validated in court.

“Is there any scenario under which you would concede that you lost, publically, in 2018?” asked CNN “OutFront” host Erin Burnett asked Abrams.

“In 2018 on the day I made that speech, if you play the beginning of the speech, I acknowledged that I am not the governor, that Brian Kemp won the election,” Abrams defended herself. “What I said is that the process denied access to too many voters. And that was proved by more than three thousand voters who made their voices heard by a trial and a process that was the first full-length trial held on voting rights in more than a decade in the state of Georgia.”

“I have never denied the outcome, I have always questioned the process and the access, and I think it’s dangerous and disingenuous to conflate concerns about access with concerns about outcome,” she concluded.

Unfortunately for Abrams, an elephant never forgets. The RNC tweeted a montage of her not just claiming that the election was unfair, but straight up saying “we won” when that simply and factually is not the case.

Social media wasn’t impressed by Abrams’ attempt to whitewash her own history on the topic:
