Ron DeSantis gives up the goods on Tim Walz: ‘This guy’s a shyster!’

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis ripped his Minnesota counterpart as a “shyster” who is more radical than the media is making him out to be.

The Florida Republican minced no words as he spoke with Fox News host Sean Hannity about Gov. Tim Walz who was named Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate on Tuesday. DeSantis slammed the leftist governor’s record and said Republicans need to counter the radical Democrat ticket as the presidential race barrels toward November.

“Is that what Americans want? The San Francisco experience where homeless are defecating in public on the sidewalks?” DeSantis said on “Hannity” Tuesday, referring to “vapid” Harris and her record as San Francisco District Attorney.

“The Minnesota experience, where cities are burning down, and Governor Walz was derelict in his duties to sit back and allow those cities to burn,” he continued, jabbing at Walz. “Kamala Harris was egging it on, and she even raised money to bail people out. So yes, Harris-Waltz ticket is Make America Burn Again.”

“I watched his speech,” DeSantis said. “This guy is a shyster. I mean, he’s saying these things – he claims, ‘Oh, you know, leave your neighbors alone. It’s none of your business.’ This is the guy that set up a snitch line during COVID for neighbors to inform if somebody was violating his draconian COVID restrictions.”

“He claims people should be able to make whatever health care decision they want. Yet he, as governor, mandated the experimental COVID-19 jab,” he continued. “And then he says, ‘Republicans are weird,’ yet this is the governor who put tampons in the boys’ bathroom throughout Minnesota schools. Give me a break.”

DeSantis called out the Democrat nominees as the “most left-wing ticket in American history” in a post on X where he also wrote, “Harris-Walz: Make America Burn Again.”

“In 2021, Minnesotans were roughly five times more likely to move to Florida than vice versa,” the former Republican presidential candidate posted.

“They were fleeing a state that, under Gov. Tim Walz, turned its back on law and order, increased taxes, and imposed unscientific coronavirus restrictions, harming children and destroying businesses,” DeSantis wrote. “Walz is an unbridled leftist, an Ilhan Omar-style Democrat that puts ideology above all else.”

DeSantis addressed claims that Harris “bent the knee” to the pro-Hamas caucus in her party by skipping over Jewish Gov. Josh Shapiro in favor of Walz.

“I think she is part of the pro-Hamas caucus in the Democratic Party. This is who she is,” he told Hannity, adding that Walz is “in many ways a mirror image.”

The media will not “report on his liberal positions” or “the fact that he gave driver’s licenses to illegals,” DeSantis warned.

“They’re going to dress him up as a moderate. They’re going to say, ‘Oh, just a football coach, just a teacher.’ Talks about being a veteran,” DeSantis said.

“You counter it by getting out there and speaking the truth,” he replied when Hannity asked what the strategy would be to “counter” the media’s failure.
