Casey DeSantis, the wife of Florida Governor and Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis, celebrated her husband’s debate performance as people questioned who really won the evening.
DeSantis, who was placed directly in the center of the stage, spoke for a little under 10 minutes of the nearly two-hour-long debate. For context, former Vice President Mike Pence’s speaking time totaled 12 minutes and 37 seconds, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy talked for about 11 minutes and 47 seconds, and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie occupied about 11 minutes and 22 seconds.
Despite not having as much speaking time as some of his more high-profile opponents, DeSantis was still able to get many of his points across, discussing his platform and overall vision for America.
Ron DeSantis won the night!
He is the proven leader who will reverse America’s decline.

“Our country is in decline,” the video begins. “This decline is not inevitable, it’s a choice. We need to send Joe Biden back to his basement and reverse American decline.”
The video then cuts to Fox News hosts Sean Hannity with Laura Ingraham singing the governor’s praises, saying his “powerful” opening answer “set the tone of the night.”
DeSantis also addressed the border crisis, and the drug epidemic that unrestricted migration has created.
“When these drug pushers are bringing fentanyl across the border, that’s gonna be the last thing they do,” he promised. “We’re gonna use force and we’re gonna leave them stone cold dead.”
Later he vowed to take on the “deep state bureaucrats” and people like Dr. Anthony Fauci, which was seen as a shot at former President Donald Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“And I can tell you this, as your president I will never let the deep state bureaucrats lock you down. You don’t take somebody like Fauci and coddle him, you bring Fauci in and sit him down and say ‘Anthony, you are fired’.”
The video included several soundbites and headlines declaring DeSantis the winner of the debate, as well as praising how well he managed to make his points without shrinking into the shadows of his opponents.
At the end of the video, DeSantis can be seen laying out exactly what is at stake in this next election.
“I made promises and I delievered on all of those promises,” he declared. “2024 is make-or-break. We’re not getting a mulligan, no excuses, I will get the job done and as your president I will not let you down.”
