Rubio warns Venezuela to accept illegal aliens, or else

Secretary of State Marcio Rubio issued a warning to Venezuela over accepting deported individuals coming from the United States.

According to Rubio, the nation will face “severe, and escalating sanctions” if they attempt to reject illegal aliens who are being returned to their country on President Donald Trump’s orders. The warning comes as the administration looks to step up its efforts to remove Venezuelans who have entered America illegally and implement a temporary residency program for many others.

In an X post, the secretary of state acknowledged Venezuela’s duty to accept its returning countrymen.

“Venezuela is obligated to accept its repatriated citizens from the U.S. This is not an issue for debate or negotiation. Nor does it merit any reward. Unless the Maduro regime accepts a consistent flow of deportation flights, without further excuses or delays, the U.S. will impose new, severe, and escalating sanctions,” he wrote.
