Samuel L Jackson spits venom at Trump over ‘broken’ Marvel co-star, compares him to racist ‘rednecks’

Outspoken actor Samuel L. Jackson’s latest invective toward former President Donald Trump, making use of a colorful term, came coupled with peak celebrity victimhood as he bonded with his “broken” Marvel costar after the 2016 election.

Disney’s latest box office bomb “Elemental,” an animated film featuring a non-binary character and same-sex couple, demonstrated the lasting power of conservative outrage against woke corporations. As their cinematic superhero-focused Marvel Studios has reportedly attempted to course correct from pushing the activist envelope too-hard, Jackson wasn’t doing them any favors as he marked the premiere of the new Disney+ show “Secret Invasion” with a leftist screed.

With the 74-year-old Oscar-nominated actor donning the eyepatch of Nick Fury once more, he recently spoke with Rolling Stone where he described his relationship with “Captain Marvel” costar Brie Larson and the “hard time” they were going through after Trump entered the White House.

“We had done Kong together, which was not the most wonderful experience for either of us. We became friends during that particular experience because we were having such a hard time,” he said of the 2017 release “Kong: Skull Island” before pivoting to Larson’s directorial debut “Unicorn Store.”

“Then, when she was doing her movie and trying to get a particular actor, I was in the makeup trailer with her and was like, ‘Why are you trying to hire this actor and not trying to get me to do your movie?’ She said, ‘I didn’t think you’d ever do it… so, will you?’ And I was like, ‘Let’s do it,'” Jackson recounted.

“Then, we bonded through the election while we were doing her movie when Donald Trump won. She was broken, and I was like, ‘Don’t let ’em break you. You have to be strong now,'” the actor described.

Jackson, no stranger to profanity laced rants against the 45th president, had previously gone on record lamenting, “This motherf*cker is like ruining the planet and all kinds of other crazy sh*t. And the people think that’s okay. It’s not f*cking okay. And if you’re not saying anything, then you’re complicit. And I wouldn’t give a f*ck if I was garbageman and I had a Twitter account; I’d tweet that sh*t out. I’m not thinking about who I am and what my job is when I do that sh*t.”

At the time, the actor further voiced his flippancy toward how his comments might impact his employers by stating, “I know how many motherf*ckers hate me. ‘I’m never going to see a Sam Jackson movie again.’ F*ck I care? If you never went to another movie I did in my life, I’m not going to lose any money. I already cashed that check. F*ck you. Burn up my videotapes. I don’t give a f*ck.”

Later on during his interview with Rolling Stone, he ladled out more venom for Trump and the Republican Party as a whole and said, “When I see Trump, I see the same rednecks I saw when I was growing up who called me ‘n*****’ and tried to keep me in my place. That’s what the Republican Party is to me. They’re doing it to young people, gay people. They don’t care who you are. If you’re not them, you’re the enemy.”

Meanwhile, criticism for Larson’s portrayal of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel and insistence that “…representation matters. Diverse storytelling matters…” wasn’t accepted constructively, but instead treated as an attack which Jackson deflected as coming from “dudes who hate strong women.”

“But she’s not going to let any of that stuff destroy her. These incel dudes who hate strong women, or the fact that she’s a feminist who has an opinion and expressed it? Everybody wants people to be who they want them to be. She is who she is, and she’s genuinely that,” the actor said.
