A San Francisco area YMCA has updated its locker room guidelines on nudity amid fallout over a transgender dude who brazenly flaunted his penis in the presence of women and young children.
The salami slinger who goes by the name of “Sammy” has now been prohibited from exposing his privates at the Stonestown Family YMCA, where he delighted in dangling his dong for years despite complaints and protests over the lewd behavior.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, a flier posted in the gym’s changing room bearing the headline of “NEW YMCA LOCKER ROOMS GUIDELINES 2026” lays down the law.

“Nudity is permitted only while actively showering. Members are expected to put clothing on or be covered during use of the space outside of showering,” the announcement reads.
“Respect privacy and personal space,” the notice continues. “Please maintain appropriate distance from others, be mindful of personal space during times of undress, and demonstrate courtesy at all times.”
“Sammy” hasn’t been spotted since the new rules went into effect, the outlet reported.
One YMCA member who has been one of the trans exhibitionist’s critics told the Daily Mail that the rules seem to be “specifically written” for “Sammy” and while she’s glad he’s gone, wonders whether the policy may not be practical.
“So what are they going to do – having someone standing around monitoring the situation, saying ‘you’ve been naked too long?'” Susan Pete asked.
“He’s ruined everything,” she said.
“Sammy had been a regular at the gym since 2024, prompting a series of confrontations by standing around naked in front of the mirror, blow-drying her hair while bent over,” according to the Daily Mail. “Menacing stares would ensue, as Sammy would allegedly argue back, calling people not just ‘intolerant’ but also ‘drunk’.”
The display of the male genitalia resulted in protests outside of two local YMCA’s frequented by “Sammy,” including Stonestown, where members in the dozens rallied to force him into the space designated to be gender-neutral.
Officials with the YMCA defended the use of the locker room because of “civil rights,” but only further stoked anger from members “who felt uncomfortable seeing a husky trans woman with male genitalia and ‘slowly growing breasts’ roaming around in front of women and children,” according to the Daily Mail.
“I’ve seen that man more than most of my boyfriends,” Pete told the outlet last year.
Berkeley YMCA member Elizabeth Kenney said that she witnessed “Sammy” once “harassing” an elderly member after being asked to “cover up.”
“If you don’t like the way I look, then you’ve got a sexual problem with yourself,” the pre-op tranny allegedly said.
“Get away from her, leave her alone,” Kenney recalled telling the dangler, “You’re a man, you’d don’t belong here.”
“The transgender people ruined everything for women,” Pete told the UK-based outlet. “They ruined sports, ruined the locker room, they upset me.”
“We’ve been very happy since he’s been gone, but I don’t know if he’s going to come back and cover up, or fight against it,” she added. “Hopefully, he just went to Seattle.”
