Applications went live for San Francisco’s new transgender low-income program this week and applicants were given over 130 gender, sexual orientation and pronoun options from which to choose, including derogatory terms and those used in India and Latin America.
The program, championed by recently re-elected Democrat Mayor London Breed, is the second in the nation to specifically target transgender residents. To qualify, applicants must only identify as transgender, they need not have completed surgery or prove gender orientation, and must make less than $600 per month.
“Guaranteed Income For Transgender (GIFT) will provide economically marginalized transgender people with unrestricted, monthly guaranteed income as a way to combat poverty our most impacted community members face,” according to Lyon Mountain Community Health Center, which partnered with the city and the Transgender District to run the program.
GIFT will award $1,200 per month for 18 months to 55 households willing to complete surveys throughout the program, prioritizing disabled, homeless, non-English speaking, transgender minorities, and undocumented migrants working in the sex trade, according to LMCHC.
Those wishing to apply must complete a 10-page application online, including contact information, social security number and income before reaching the portion regarding gender. Applicants can choose between 97 options, including “xenogender,” which means beyond human understanding, “gender outlaw,” “brotherboy,” “aggressive,” “genderf**k” and “neutrois,” meaning null gender.

“‘Novigender’, which refers to someone who believes their gender identity is so complex it cannot be described using existing categories, is also an option. Also an option is ‘FTX’, which stands for ‘female-to-eXpansive’ — a person assigned female at birth who identifies as non-binary,” The Daily Mail reported.

The 18 pronoun options look more like alphabet soup than true pronouns and include “ae/aer/aers,” “fae/faer/faers,” and “zie/zim/zis.”
Under the 19 options for sexual orientation, applicants are told to check all that apply and are given choices like “aromantic,” “BDSM/kink,” “dyke,” “faggot,” “skoliosexual” and “straight.”
In the application, there are almost 100 “gender identities” to choose from, including:

“Gender ideology is overrunning our culture, and vastly amplifying the number of minors and adults who suffer from gender dysphoria and gender confusion,” said Jay Richards of the Heritage Foundation. “Expect a growing population of needy, indigent people in San Francisco presenting as transgender.”
With 30 percent of San Fransisco’s trans population living in poverty, compared to 12 percent of the general population, Breed feels the program will benefit the most marginalized in the community and allows partners to gather information for future programs.
San Fransisco isn’t the first to earmark funds for its transgender community. Denver allocated $2 million from the American Rescue plan to fund a program that will provide $12,000 in no-strings-attached cash to 140 transgender and non-binary homeless. Palms Springs launched a similar program this year, allocating $200,000 in funding to transgender and non-binary residents.
It’s frankly hard to believe that society is really at this point and nobody is really exposing it. I guess they were successful in creating this fear of getting cancelled so the majority stays silent.

San Fransisco has allocated $2 million over two years through the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development.
“By giving low-income trans people the resources to cover the expenses they deem most immediate and important given each person’s unique situation, we are implementing a truly community-centered intervention to combat poverty,” said Transgender District President Aria Sa’id.
In addition to the money that can be spent at the recipient’s discretion without limitation, those who qualify can also receive gender-affirming medical care, treatment for mental health issues, and financial advice.
“Our Guaranteed Income Programs allow us to help our residents when they need it most as part of our city’s economic recovery and our commitment to creating a more just city for all,” Breed said. “We know that our trans communities experience much higher rates of poverty and discrimination, so this program will target support to lift individuals in this community up.”
With no need to prove trans status to qualify, many on Twitter believe the program will be flooded with those looking to earn an extra buck.

The GIFT program is one of three demographically targeted campaigns set to begin in San Fransisco in the next year. A second targets artists and the third is open to mothers and pregnant women of black and of Pacific Island descent.
