‘Savage’: DeSantis team expertly trolls Nikki Haley, includes a prize for two supporters

Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign expertly trolled fellow candidate Nikki Haley, offering donors a ticket to “her future home, the vice president’s residence” if she is “too coward” to attend the Iowa debate.

The DeSantis team is offering two supporters tickets to NYC or Washington, D.C. as an alternative to the Iowa debate in case it doesn’t take place. They would get to see where Haley would allegedly reside if she lacks the nerve to debate the Florida governor. So far, she has not committed to the CNN debate.

“As with previous debates, DeSantis’ campaign is offering donors a chance to win two tickets to the debate in Iowa next month, which includes airfare, hotel rooms and a meet-and-greet,” the Daily Mail reported.

“But this time, in a troll of former United Nations Ambassador Haley, the campaign is offering alternatives if she is ‘too coward to debate Governor DeSantis one-on-one,’ according to sweepstake conditions,” the news outlet added.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) is allowing CNN to host the Iowa debate.

“CNN is hosting a debate in Iowa before the caucuses on January 15 and in New Hampshire before the primary election on January 23. So far, DeSantis is the only candidate who has fully committed to the next debate,” the Daily Mail noted.

Haley appears to be willing to debate only if Trump takes the stage with her and DeSantis. And although she seems to be making noises about attending the debate, she has not committed to it yet.

“Since the RNC pulled out of the debates, many new offers have come in,” Haley spokesperson Olivia Perez-Cubas told Axios in an interview. “We look forward to debating in Iowa and continuing to show voters why Nikki is the best candidate to retire Joe Biden and save our country. That debate should include Donald Trump.”

The DeSantis team is seizing on Haley’s hesitancy to go toe to toe with him.

“‘In this last Republican primary debate, [DeSantis] caused Nikki Haley to shrink into the backdrop as he reminded voters that she has caved on every significant fight as a leader: from taxes to protecting women and children to China,” DeSantis’ Press Secretary Bryan Griffin told the Daily Mail in a statement.

“After that loss, it is no wonder why Haley has failed to confirm she will join Ron DeSantis on the debate stage in Iowa and New Hampshire next month,” he asserted.

If the debate does not take place, then the two DeSantis sweepstakes winners will be given the option of going to New York City to take a tour of the United Nations where Nikki Haley was an ambassador during the Trump presidency. Or they can opt to go to Washington, DC to see the vice president’s residence. Both options are a slam at Haley… one on globalism and the other contending that she is seeking the VP nod by former President Trump.

“In conditions, the campaign writes winners could choose ‘up to $1500 roundtrip airfare to Washington, DC, and hotel accommodations so the winner can see the Naval Observatory — the new home Nikki wants,'” the Daily Mail wrote quoting the sweepstakes’ rules.

There’s a third option as well that takes a further swipe at Haley.

“A third option is for winners to receive airfare and accommodations near a data warehouse ‘so you can see how Nikki will store all of your data in the unlikely event she becomes president,’ in a troll of her previous proposal that social media companies store user data and prevent people from posting anonymously online,” the news outlet stated.

If none of those appeal to the winners, they can use their winnings for the next debate, if there is one.
