Remember when you were a kid, and your parents told you that Santa doesn’t come until everyone in the house is asleep?
It turns out those kinds of tricks don’t end when you grow up.
Rumors of a “surprise guest” to close out the Democratic National Convention took social media by storm. With the event causing so much buzz, it was anyone’s guess as to who could show up. Some believed Beyonce (who was never actually scheduled to attend) would show up, others firmly maintained that it just HAD to be 2024’s “it” girl, Taylor Swift.
But fans who tuned in to watch Vice President Kamala Harris give her speech with the hopes of catching their favorite artist were sorely disappointed after no such surprise guest materialized.
People took to X looking for an explanation.
Was there never a guest, and the rumor was just to get people to stay at the convention and fill seats?
They said there was a surprise guest just so everyone would watch the Kamala Harris speech.
