Schiff announces ‘Dear White House’ letter accusing Trump admin of insider trading

Sen. Adam Schiff blasted President Donald Trump after he mocked him as a “watermelon head,” but many thought the California Democrat lacked all self-awareness as he raised an alarm over “insider trading.”

The lame comeback after Trump called out the “corrupt” lawmaker followed Schiff’s earlier faceplant as he announced he was sending the White House a letter about the president’s pause on raising tariffs. After melting down over the stock market declines following “Liberation Day” tariffs announced by Trump, Schiff and his fellow Democrats are now angry that the market soared when the president announced a pause and suggested, “This is a great time to buy!”

“I’m writing to the White House to demand who knew in advance that the president was gonna once again flip-flop on tariffs? And are people cashing in?” Schiff said to reporters. “There is just all too much opportunity for people in the White House and the administration to be insider trading.”

The king of the Russia hoax, who led the House’s impeachment probe into Trump in 2020, loaded his social media with outrage, which only fueled more ridicule.

Schifty Schiff’s sudden concern about “insider trading” earned him a wave of mockery on social media, where X users reminded him of a thing or two about one of his Democrat colleagues.

“Adam ‘Schifty’ Schiff — can you believe this guy?” Trump said during his speech at an event hosted by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).

“He’s got the smallest neck I’ve ever seen. And the biggest head. We call him watermelon head,” he said. “How can that big fat face stand on a neck that looks like this finger?”

“It’s the weirdest thing — it’s a mystery; no one can understand it,” Trump continued, calling the Democrat “one of the most dishonest human beings I’ve ever seen,” and adding, “He was in charge of the fake witch hunt — with ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’ — it was a made-up story.”

Schiff clapped back on X, writing, “The President of the United States seems oddly focused on me.”

“Shouldn’t he be focused on the economy he’s crashing?” he wondered.

Meanwhile, X users continued to mock the senator over his outrage.
