Schumer slip-up exposes Dems as culprits behind GOP town hall disruptions

Sen, Josh Hawley suggested that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer inadvertently revealed that Democrats are behind the harassment of Republican members of Congress.

Schumer came under fire for inciting violence after comments he made during a PBS interview about how Democrats plan to “mobilize” people in New York to influence Republican voters.

“Chuck Schumer said the quiet part out loud: They are sending people into these districts,” Hawley told Fox News host Sean Hannity as he reacted to the Democrat leader’s words on “astroturf protestors.”

Democrats are no longer a political party, according to the Missouri Republican.

“They’re just a theater troupe that is funded by George Soros. And that’s what we’re seeing – theater actors who are showing up at these meetings pretending to be constituents,” Hawley said. “We’re not going to fall for it. ”

Schumer, who has spent that past week trying to convince his colleagues that he is the best person to lead Senate Democrats, explained the strategy to infiltrate GOP town halls and force a change in voting.

“We are mobilizing. In New York, we have people going to the Republican districts and going after these Republicans who are voting for this and forcing them to either change their vote or face the consequences,” he said in the PBS interview.

“I am confident that we will bring Trump’s popularity, numbers and strength down if we keep at it, keep at it and keep at it,” Schumer said.

His admission of a strategy to disrupt Republicans with designated protesters earned the embattled Schumer instant backlash on social media.
