The six Democratic lawmakers who encouraged the military to refuse to obey what they called “illegal orders” from President Donald J. Trump are set to enlist their allies in the courts to strike back against the administration.
Last November, the “Seditious Six” sparked outrage over their video in which they urged service members to disobey the top of the chain of command, specifically the commander in chief and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, infuriating Trump, who denounced them as “traitors to our country” and called for them to be arrested and put on trial.
But efforts to hold the pack of insurrectionists accountable aren’t going to come to fruition after a grand jury refused to hand up an indictment on Tuesday, a blow to the Trump administration and its efforts to hold them accountable.
On Wednesday, four of the Democrats, Reps. Jason Crow (D-CO), Chris Deluzio (D-PA), Maggie Goodlander (D-NH), and Chrissy Houlahan (D-NH) signaled that they are preparing to deploy lawfare against the administration, the preferred tool of the left.

“Yesterday, the Trump Department of Justice tried and failed to indict us on criminal charges based on a video that we filmed last year simply reminding our fellow service members to follow the law and the Constitution,” Crow declared at a press conference. “They failed, and they will always fail.”
“We are taking names,” he vowed. “We are creating lists. My lawyers just sent a letter today to the Department of Justice, putting them on notice that there will be costs.”
The congressman did not provide any additional details about coming reprisals.
“They failed, and they will always fail,” the Colorado Democrat crowed. “Every American should be appalled that Donald Trump and his political goons in the Justice Department have weaponized our Justice Department, their Justice Department against his political opponents.”
Trump & his goons are weaponizing the DOJ against anyone who disagrees with them.

It’s as if the Biden administration had never happened, even though the senile former White House occupant unleashed HIS Justice Department against Trump, his allies, and ordinary Americans who supported him, most notably against people who protested the integrity of the 2024 election at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Rounding out the “Seditious Six” are Sens. Mark Kelly of Arizona and Elissa Slotkin of Michigan.
Kelly, who could be eyeing a 2028 White House run, also spoke out after the grand jury declined to indict the Democrats.
“I want to be clear about something: This is not a ‘good-news’ story. This is a story about how hard Donald Trump and his cronies are trying to break our system in order to silence anyone who lawfully speaks out against them. And to send a signal to every American that they better think twice before they speak out, or else they might be next,” the senator said in a statement.
“The president has used our justice system to weaponize against his perceived enemies,” Slotkin said, describing the effort to indict the six as “straight from the authoritarian playbook.”
“If these f**kers think that they’re going to intimidate us and threaten and bully me into silence, and they’re going to go after political opponents and get us to back down, they have another thing coming,” Crow also said, according to CNN.
