Sen Cornyn’s team allegedly forgets about YouTube ad plugging amnesty amid primary ‘knife fight’

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) is in a heated primary battle with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, which has been described by many as a “knife fight.”

President Donald J. Trump has held off on offering an endorsement in the race, but 74-year-old Cornyn has drawn the attention of conservative activist Scott Presler, who has been laser-focused on passing the election integrity bill known as the SAVE America Act.

And that attention is not working out well for the 24-year incumbent senator, as seen in a video Presler shared this week of the Republican voicing support for amnesty for illegal immigrants.

“In an unearthed video, Senator Cornyn’s team forgot to delete a video from YouTube where Cornyn advocates for amnesty for illegal aliens,” Presler posted on X. “It would be a shame if every Republican in Texas sees this before the May 26th runoff. No amnesty!”

In a follow-up video, Presley shared that Cornyn’s team scrambled to make the video private after he exposed them:

Presley has been appealing to Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) for nearly 4 months now to pass the SAVE America Act, and it’s becoming more and more likely that the “GOP leader” will run the clock out on legislation that is supported by more than 80 percent of voters, including Democrats.

On that note, Presley is cranking up the pressure by promising to oppose the reelection of Cornyn and Sen. Bill Cassidy, both political class favorites.

As seen in the video below, he said if Thune has not passed the bill by the end of April, he will “actively work” to defeat the pair:

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
