Sen. Kennedy scoffs at Bidenomics, says ‘inflation is gutting my people like a fish’

Senator John Kennedy (R-La.) isn’t being fooled by the gaslighting about “Bidenomics” and he scoffed at the bogus narrative that’s being pumped out to disguise the reality that Americans are being crushed by sustained inflation.

The Bayou State Republican appeared on Tuesday’s edition of “The Faulkner Focus” on Fox News where he discussed the natural disaster of the Maui wildfires as well as the man-made catastrophe of President Joe Biden’s economic policies with host Harris Faulkner.

After first offering encouragement to the people in Hawaii who have had their lives upended by the deadly blazes, Kennedy turned to the real state of the economy and not the propaganda that the Biden administration and their stooges in the media are pushing, serving up a piping hot take with a delightful side of his Lousiana-style wit.

“I’m just so sorry they’re going through it,” he said of the Maui victims, adding, “I’m also sorry that the American people are going through Bidenomics. ”

“Bidenomics is pretty simple, it’s just bigger government, more spending, and the higher prices,” Kennedy continued. “I’ve said this before, at least in Louisiana, inflation is gutting my people like a fish. My people are gettin’ really good at barely gettin’ by, and in America, you shouldn’t have to take an early distribution from your retirement account or sell blood plasma in order to go to the grocery store.”

“And President Biden is out there saying prices are high and your 401k is crashing because the economy is so good,” he added. “He just doesn’t get it, and that’s why he’s polling up there … I don’t know, with a fungal infection.”

Faulkner took over, saying, “We know that the administration loves to say that inflation is trending downward, we know year over year from July of 2022 to July of this year, the inflation again, 3.2 percent after breaking it,  at peaking at 9.1 percent in June of last year. So we’re still now paying those prices plus three percent more. Everything is higher. It just keeps getting higher.”

“But when you look at the numbers, inflation, since Biden took office, the numbers are staggering…,” she said.

Faulkner wasn’t just whistling Dixie either. The chief economist for Moody’s Analytics recently stated that typical American households spent over $200 more in July for the same goods and services that they did last year and a staggering $709 more than two years ago in 2021, the ugly truth about Bidenomics.

“If there’s any good news, the rate of inflation has been falling. Now, what does that mean? That just means prices are still going up, but they’re not going up as quickly as they were,” the senator said. “I hate to say it, but these high prices, they are permanent. Even if inflation goes to zero tomorrow, we’re still going to be stuck with these higher prices, which are directly a result of President Biden’s economic policy.”

“Do the people around the White House get it?” Kennedy asked. “I think some get it, but they can’t defend it. Others just feel like their favorite form of spending, which is causing this inflation, is more. And they don’t get it. But either way, this inflation is a cancer on the American dream.”

“And I will tell you, I know President Biden wants to change the subject and the election to President Trump and his indictments. But if you ask me to single out one thing that is causing President Biden, as I said, to be about as popular as robocalls, it’s his inflation,” Senator Kennedy said, adding “And in the meantime, all we get out of Washington is more indictments of President Trump and all the sleaze surrounding Hunter Biden and David Weiss. No wonder the American people have started to hate government.”
