Serial liar Raskin claims Trump’s name in Epstein files ‘more than a million times’

Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Maryland, made a shocking claim in an interview with Axios.

Speaking with the outlet on Tuesday, Raskin says that a search of President Donald Trump’s name in the unredacted Epstein files yielded “more than a million” results. He viewed the files with Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Kentucky, Rep. Ro Khanna, D-California, and Rep. Becca Balint, D-Vermont, according to the outlet.

“That document is a 2009 email exchange between Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, in which Epstein recounted his lawyers’ account of a phone call with Trump, as Raskin previously told reporters,” Axios reported.

On Monday, Raskin also complained about what he calls “tons of completely unnecessary redactions” made by the Department of Justice, saying the documents “are filled with redactions of names and information about people who clearly are not victims and may fall into that other category.” He noted that it was “troubling” that he found “that there were tons of completely unnecessary redactions in addition to the failure to redact the names of victims.”

Among the files released was one that he claims contradicts Trump’s public story about his falling out with Epstein.

“Epstein’s lawyers synopsized and quoted Trump as saying that Jeffrey Epstein was not a member of his club at Mar-a-Lago, but he was a guest at Mar-a-Lago, and he had never been asked to leave,” the lawmaker said. “And that was redacted for some indeterminate, inscrutable reason. I know it seems to be at odds with some things that President Trump has been saying recently about how he had kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club or asked him to leave. And this was at least one report that appears to contradict it.”

However, the president has long maintained his innocence and claims that Epstein was eventually kicked out of Mar-a-Lago for inappropriate conduct.

“The former Palm Beach chief of police testified to the FBI in 2019 that following Epstein’s arrest in the early 2000s, Trump claimed he threw Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago, the Epstein files show,” Axios wrote. “Trump reportedly also told the then-police chief that ‘everyone has known he’s been doing this’ and that Maxwell is ‘evil and to focus on her.'”
