Settlement between Hunter Biden and Lunden Roberts has rumor mill working overtime: ‘He must’ve paid her off’

Hunter Biden’s private settlement in his child support payment case may soon be made public, but expected “heavy redactions” and a decision on his four-year-old daughter’s last name are sure to raise eyebrows.

The claimed hardship of the jet-setting son of President Joe Biden remained only part of the story with Hunter and his former lover Lunden Roberts, the mother of his long-unacknowledged daughter Navy Joan Roberts. According to a report from the Daily Mail, the couple had submitted an agreement to the court Monday afternoon, which could be released Wednesday.

The settlement that, as previously reported is expected to see Hunter’s monthly child support payments reduced from $20,000 to $5,000, was turned over to Independence County Circuit Court Judge Holly Meyer and, once public, will include “heavy redactions to keep the full financial arrangements of four-year-old Navy Joan Roberts’ upbringing a secret.”

Prior to the arrangement, Biden had been required to appear in person as his attorneys, whom the supposedly cash-strapped first son was said to be paying close to $900 per billable hour, continued to dodge questions regarding his finances and information pertaining to his infamous laptop.

The settlement, which came around the same time as his agreement to plead guilty in a sweetheart deal with the Justice Department over tax fraud and a federal gun charge, was reported to drop Roberts’ request that her daughter have her surname changed to Biden, perhaps also settling the question of many as to whether the president would ever acknowledge his own granddaughter.

Even Roberts’s attorney Clint Lancaster hinted at the possibility that the agreement that had been submitted, while publicly appearing to the benefit of Biden, may be a victory for his client as he had said when initial reports of the $5,000 figure came out, “The case is sealed, and these are financial terms that should never be disclosed.”

Lancaster had also voiced concern that any leaks about details of the settlement could result in a breakdown of the deal that had been reached leading away to another court appearance on July 11.

As he said, “I believe that settlement is important to Hunter Biden [but] we have concerns that Hunter would use [the settlement] as a means to promote some agenda of his…There’s always more that goes on in settlement negotiations than people realize.”

Further supporting the idea that Roberts was a winner in the child support case were images posted to her social media that showed her enjoying a getaway, posing in swimsuits with a man by the water, and snorkeling.

Having now paid Roberts an estimated $750,000 since his child support began in 2019, most continued to speculate that the pair had come to an understanding on an adequate figure that would encourage her to remain silent, especially about financial disclosures that had been made in court.
