Sex-ed for many California public school students has been exposed as steeped in leftist wokeism and gender ideology.

The Woodland Unified School District, in California, has been using a curriculum that includes a module called “Teen Talk.” The module was developed by Health Connected for ninth-graders and has since been adopted by other public school districts. “Teen Talk” is the third lesson in the company’s sex education curriculum, Fox News Digital reported after obtaining a copy of the material.

The concept of “privilege” and oppression is a feature within the curriculum and features a “Wheel of Privilege/Power” that reportedly puts people in certain categories based on “social advantages or opportunities distributed unequally based on historical power,” according to Fox Digital.

For instance, students are taught that weight and skin color play a part in a person’s “power,” while “trans, intersex and non-binary,” people are the most “marginalized.”

The curriculum shows slides that promote transgenderism and claims that “1,500 species of animals” have been found to have homosexuality within their species.

A slide defines gender dysphoria, describing it as an “intense discomfort” related to a “disconnect between one’s body and identity,” distress related to certain body parts or “desire for different body parts,” being unable to express oneself “in a way that feels comfortable and affirming,” or being “misgendered.”

The module that pushes students to use “pronouns” reportedly ends with a warning for students:

“Intentionally misgendering someone is sexual harassment,” it says.

The Woodland Unified School District responded to Fox Digital’s investigation with a short statement:

“We recognize and respect that families may hold differing views,” a spokesperson said. “As a public school system, our responsibility is to follow state law and provide a safe learning environment for all students, which includes opt-out options for parents and guardians.”

California has been exposed for this kind of indoctrination before. Last August, it was reported that woke “sex-ed” was being pushed on children as young as 10 years old.
