Leftists wasted no time mobilizing in protests after a Minnesota woman was killed when she interfered with ICE agents, allegedly trying to strike one with her vehicle as she tried to get away.
Investigations were launched, but before any facts could be analyzed, Democrats and others on the left were branding the incident as a “murder.” During Wednesday’s press conference, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said that it appeared “to be an attempt to kill or to cause bodily harm to agents, an act of domestic terrorism.”
“The ICE officer, fearing for his life and the other officers around him and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots. He used his training to save his own life and that of his colleagues,” she said.
Within hours after the Wednesday morning incident, “various groups with causes as diverse as socialism, communism, climate change, Palestinian rights and the Democratic Party launched what seemed to be coordinated protests online and in American streets,” Fox News reported, noting how it appeared to be an “effort by left-wing groups with no obvious shared cause.”
Brandy Shufutinsky, director of the Education and National Security Program at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, explained it was “the same network of people that have thousands of Americans blocking the streets, waving communist and terrorist flags and attacking law enforcement and innocents.”
“They are stoking the grievance industry that they built,” Shufutinsky noted.

Left-wing groups took advantage of social media, where posts urged people to “hit the streets,” and images, language, and comments fanned the flames of outrage.
“Kristi Noem get the f*ck out of NYC right now,” read one post in English and Spanish by Indivisible, which Fox News explained is “the Democratic Party-aligned nonprofit and PAC that was at the forefront of protests against Tesla and the Trump administration.” Another organization, 50501, which was deeply involved in the #NoKings protest against President Donald Trump, shared the anti-Noem post, which featured the DHS secretary with two Xs over her eyes.
That same organization reportedly posted on Instagram within an hour of the shooting, declaring, “EMERGENCY ALERT. THIS IS AN ALL HANDS ON DECK MOMENT!”
“The state is the enemy, the state is the murderer! Resistance is justified,” declared a post by Fight for a Future, according to Fox News.
“At 1:24 p.m., the National Alliance against Racist and Political Repression, a fixture in left-wing protests, announced an ’emergency rally’ in New York City’s Foley Square for Thursday. The rally was also promoted by a group dubbing itself ‘NYC ICE Watch,'” the outlet reported.
“From Venezuela to the streets of Minneapolis, the trump [sic] regime murders and demonizes whole peoples and countries without any pretense of the rule of law,” read a message by the socialist organization Refuse Fascism, which was posted at 2:44 p.m.
“ICE out! ICE has murdered a legal observer in Minneapolis,” raged a Columbus, Ohio chapter of the communist Party for Socialism and Liberation.
“We fight back!” read the Instagram message that was posted at 3:33 p.m., calling for an “emergency protest from Columbus to Minneapolis.”
“The time is rise and resist is now (sic),” declared the Palestinian Youth Movement on Instagram at 3:06 p.m.
Rather than seek to diffuse the powder keg, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey added gasoline to the rhetoric, demanding federal immigration authorities “get the f—” out of the city.
“Get the f— out of Minneapolis,” the Democrat raged during a Wednesday news conference. “We do not want you here. Your stated reason for being in this city is to create some kind of safety, and you are doing exactly the opposite. People are being hurt, families are being ripped apart.”
