Wife of Governor Ron DeSantis appeared to hint at taking a run to replace her husband in Florida’s next gubernatorial election.
“When you come to a fork in the road, take it.” Casey DeSantis said in response to a possible run.
Her husband, Ron DeSantis backed her up stating “You guys can read into that… I’ve had people coming up to me for years, begging to get her in the fray… She’s passionate, articulate, smart, she’s got rock solid values.”
Hmmm.
A Casey DeSantis candidacy has been called a “real possibility” among Republican donors who are reportedly growing in support. As popular as Governor DeSantis is, his wife would have a tough road given that President Trump has already endorsed Byron Donalds to fill the role, calling him a “total winner.”
That being said, having two great candidates rather than none, is a good “problem” to have.
The comments from DeSantis quickly drew a lot of attention on X:
Love Casey DeSantis’ spirit and confidence, she’d make a fantastic governor

Ron DeSantis must be proud to have such an amazing partner by his side, Florida is lucky to have…
