SHOCKING video shows more than 1,000 migrants storming border bridge to El Paso before being repelled

US Customs and Border Protection officers along with heavily-armed Mexican military troops have joined together in a “bilateral show of force” after “at least 1,000” migrants stormed a border bridge in El Paso, Texas.

As the crisis at the nation’s southern border continues to worsen under the Biden administration, illegal immigrants are becoming increasingly emboldened as they seek entry into the United States, and on Sunday, the advancing column made a run for it in an unsuccessful attempt at rushing a checkpoint before they were repelled by crowd control measures.

The action went down at the Paso Del Norte bridge that links the United States to Mexico, a key access point for the ongoing invasion with the rushing of the bridge being captured on video that went viral after being posted by Bill Melugin of Fox News, whose reporting has chronicled the ongoing catastrophe at the border.

“Our contact in Juarez, MX tells us a massive group of at least 1,000 migrants just attempted to rush a port of entry in El Paso in an effort to get into the United States. Video shows them pushing past the Mexican side of Paso Del Norte bridge. Awaiting CBP comment,” Melugin wrote on Twitter.

In another video, Melugin provided an update that unspecified “crowd control measures” were used to repel a “chunk of the group” with some massing at another smaller bridge with others attempting to gain access into the country by crossing the river.

“CBP officers including members of the CBP Mobile Field Force implemented port hardening measures at the Paso Del Norte International bridge at 1:30 p.m. today temporarily preventing the northbound flow of traffic after a large group of individuals formed on the Mexican side of the border and approached the international boundary posing a potential threat to make a mass entry,” CBP said in a statement. “The CBP response included the deployment of physical barriers to restrict entry. As of 5 p.m. there is no traffic processing occurring at PDN.”

“There were also temporary disruptions at two other crossings because of appearance of groups of migrants. Barricades were used at the Stanton crossing from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. and at the Bridge of the Americas from 2:45 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.,” the statement read.

In another video posted to Twitter by Melugin, the now-secured bridge is shown as it is being guarded by the heavily-armed Mexican military troops.

“This is the bilateral show of force that dispersed the huge group of migrants trying to rush a port of entry in El Paso today,” he wrote. “Two lines of Mexican military, then on the US side, physical barriers, barbed wire, and a skirmish line of CBP officers in crowd control gear.”

“This is the type of event that doesn’t help them,” said Rep. Henry Cuellar of the illegal aliens.

“It doesn’t help the migrant make their case. I know that they’re tired of waiting and all that, but this type of thing just doesn’t help their case,” the Texas Democrat added. “Even the president is saying, now, ‘Let’s have ’em come in in an orderly process,’ you know. What they’re doing, trying to rush through, doesn’t help their case one bit at all. It does become a little frustrating,”
