Sick and damning details of the alleged murder of Celeste Rivas by a singer and songwriter who goes by D4vd have emerged.
The singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, was arrested in April 2026 and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, 14. He’s also been charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child and mutilation of human remains, allegedly with a chainsaw.
Burke reportedly ordered an Uber to transport Rivas from her family home to his home in Hollywood Hills on April 23, 2025, according to documents found by the California Post.
Burke allegedly stabbed her that night after a long argument over texts the previous night, when Rivas was reportedly jealous of Burke seeing other women/girls and threatened to expose his abuse.
D4vd and Celeste Rivas reportedly met in 2022, when she was just 11 years old. According to prosecutors, their sexual relationship began in November 2023, when she was 13 and he was 18.

“She became extremely upset and threatened to disclose damning information about her relationship with the defendant to end his career and destroy his life,” investigators said.
He made a series of suspicious purchases under the name Victoria Mendez following the alleged murder, including a shovel from Home Depot the following day and two chainsaws from Amazon roughly a week later, the New York Post reported.
He also purchased a “body bag, heavy-duty laundry bags and a blue inflatable pool, according to the documents,” the Post reported.
Under a search warrant for Burke’s home, investigators “discovered evidence consistent with the dismemberment of the victim’s body in the inflatable pool, which contained multiple linear cuts. Several biological samples, which tested positive for blood, were collected within the garage area,” the documents state.
Burke and Rivas allegedly met when she was only 11 years old and started dating when she was 13, and he was 18.
Rivas’ family had tried to deter her daughter from seeing him once the relationship was discovered, but Burke allegedly continued to pursue her, and the two continued a sexual relationship, the Post reported.
Burke appeared in a procedural hearing on Wednesday after a “significant” amount of child pornography was found on his iPhone.
Rivas’s mutilated body was found on September 8, 2025, in the trunk of a Tesla belonging to Burke.
Her DNA matches the evidence found in the inflatable pool.
