Skittles’ woke pandering backfires bigly, complaints roll in: ‘I miss when society wasn’t completely insane’

The popular candy brand Skittles is being criticized for altering some of its packaging to promote “woke” leftist transgender ideology as well as its partnership with a major LGBTQ+ advocacy organization.

Social media users reacted to the brand’s hooking up with GLAAD (the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) to promote the inspiring stories of the homosexual experience on its website and the featuring of the slogan “Black Trans Lives Matter” on packages for the colorful, hard-shelled fruity candy that has been an American favorite for decades.

Images of the packaging were posted to social media with some users pointing out that GLAAD – which Skittles has partnered with for years to promote the Pride agenda – is a supporter of child gender mutilation surgeries, procedures that have drawn strong backlash as awareness has grown.

The limited edition Pride packs had Twitter/X users likening the brand’s embrace of transgenderism to Bud Light’s disastrous call to feature transgender TikToker Dylan Mulvaney in advertising spots, a marketing catastrophe that resulted in lasting boycotts of the once golden band that is now seen as toxic by millions of Americans.

“Our mission is to support the LGBTQ+ community by amplifying and celebrating their stories. That’s why we’ve partnered with GLAAD for the fourth year to rewrite the script for LGBTQ+ acceptance,” Skittles states on its website.

“This stuff is no longer funny,” one user reacted as others served up their takes on Skittles and its propagandistic messaging.

‘While Pride Month is a time to reflect, self-educate and celebrate, we know that long-term sustained support and allyship is key in building a more inclusive and diverse society,’ Skittles Senior Director Justin Hollyn-Taub said in a statement “at the time of last year’s Pride Pack announcement,” according to the Daily Mail.
