Stacey Abrams has breaking news for Americans living in the South: Y’all have been living under “soft authoritarianism” for hundreds of years.
She made the assertion while speaking to former Vice President Kamala Harris, who nodded along in agreement with everything the failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate said.
Watch:
INSANE
Failed Gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams tells Kamala Harris that the south has been under authoritarian rule since 1776.

“I know you’ve been spending a lot of time in the South recently, you’ve been to Tennessee and Louisiana and North Carolina,” Abrams said. “And what I tell people when they want to understand what authoritarianism can look like in the U.S., I say ‘Look south.’ We have lived under soft authoritarianism since 1776.”
While most people could easily dismiss this remark as the ludicrous machinations of someone addicted to victimhood, one X user suggested that Abrams could have a point.
Look:
In a way she’s correct. The Democrats have never let go of the black population since slavery was abolished. They have kept them on their political plantation, vilifying any black that thinks differently from the old masters whip.

Others weighed in as well:
So, democrats dominated the south politically from before reconstruction to about 25 years ago. Yes, you are correct that the democrats are authoritarians. They’ve not changed. We should stop voting democrat.

Then move North. There. Problem solved.
Man, I can’t stand liars. Go where you can be happy and shut up. No one is stopping you. Good grief.@staceyabrams— GB (@Maybe1Thought) August 15, 2026
The ignorance of this statement is appalling, these two are so oppressed that one ran for the highest office in a Southern state, the other held the 2nd highest office in our nation.

Can we start deporting anyone with a criminally low IQ, too, starting with these two?

Remember when she was handed an NGO and $1 million a year salary to give appliances to poor people? Remember that?
