Roseanne Barr, the former star of “Roseanne,” ripped into a former co-star this week over his alleged anti-conservative bigotry.
Recall that Barr was kicked off her own show’s reboot in 2018 after she made a crude but harmless joke about Obama-era White House adviser Valerie Jarrett, a black woman.
Despite her apologizing repeatedly for the joke, ABC fired her, permanently cancelled “Roseanne,” and instead launched a very lame and Barr-free reboot called “The Connors.”
One of her co-stars on “Roseanne” was young Michael Fishman, who’d played her son on the program. In a recent Instagram post published last month, Fishman said that “Roseanne” had been “rightfully cancelled” because of Barr’s otherwise harmless joke.
Fishman made the bombshell remark in response to someone who’d commented on his Instagram in defense of Barr. The commenter rightly alleged that the show “got canceled because Roseanne made the usual jokes a comedian makes but America decided to backstab Roseanne.”
“At the time the LGBTQ and woke crap took over and started destroying anything it could. Roseanne was one of the people that all of a sudden got flack for remaining to be a edgy comedian,” the comment wrote. “Funny thing is even if she was racist, she had already said more egregious jokes and nobody batted an eye before.”
Fishman didn’t appreciate the “ignorant and inaccurate” comment.
“I guess the world failed to learn the lesson, so I’m going to point out — we are perpetuating a lie, and people are using a political smoke screen to justify the indefensible,” he said. “Sadly, in this case, there was no joke. And the show was rightfully canceled.”
Appearing this Wednesday on the “Can’t Be Censored” podcast, Barr ripped Fishman a new one after being asked about his remarks.

“He f–king doesn’t even know what I f–king said, even though I’ve explained it 10,000 times for nine years on the internet,” she said. “He hasn’t even taken the time to listen to what I say because he is a bigot, and he’s a brainwashed bigot.”
But Barr was just getting started.
“I told him, let me explain this, Michael: Go and f–k yourself and stay f–ked ‘till the day you die,” she said. “Don’t put my name in your f–king mouth. Shut the f–k up.”
“You are an ignoramus and a bigot, and you have no idea what I said because it contradicts the Democrat Party platform that you’ve had shoved down your throat and up your ass,” she continued. “So just f–k you. You have no geopolitical context whatsoever to discuss what I said.”
Fishman responded to her remarks with a sort of non-response response video posted to the social media platform X late Thursday.

“Hate and bigotry and politics have ripped families in this country apart, so through the rage and the hate and the alienation, I’m going to meet her and all the others with the capacity of my heart, so I don’t have to take the hook of the fight just because people lashed out,” he said.
“I’m going to choose to remember the best in them, and I’m also going to set some healthy boundaries for myself,” he continued. “We get to decide who we are, and our actions show who we are, and every day through my podcast, my writing, my directing, my acting, I celebrate the most amazing people in the beautiful and humanity, so I’m going to make art from the joy and the pain.”
His post was all about love and joy and blah, blah, blah, and didn’t really address anything Barr had said.
During her podcast appearance, Barr also revealed that the producers of “Roseanne” had planned to kill off Fishman’s character before she, Barr, intervened to save him.
“I’m glad they fired you because I was the only reason you were ever on that show,” she said. “They wanted to get rid of you in the reboot, and I made them take you back.”
“F–k you, you little f–kin’ putz,” she continued. “I feel like suing him because it’s slander to bring up something that I have addressed 9,000 times.”
