Stephen Miller being considered for a role that will make liberal heads explode

The Washington Post is reporting that Stephen Miller is being eyed for a higher role, and it may involve Venezuela.

Since the United States captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, President Donald Trump announced that America will effectively be running the show until a “judicious” transfer can be made. In the interim, it appears that Miller may be playing a star role.

According to WaPo’s anonymous sources, the Trump White House is reportedly “weighing” Miller for “a more elevated role in overseeing post-Maduro operations in Venezuela.”

“Miller has been the architect of the administration’s anti-immigration and border policy and took a central role in the effort to remove Maduro,” the outlet reported.

Meanwhile, Maduro’s Vice President Delcy Rodriguez has stepped in to fill the vacuum created by the president’s capture. Trump has previously mentioned that as long as Rodriguez plays ball with the United States, troops will not be deployed to the country.

“We’re prepared,” he added. “You know, we have a second wave that’s much bigger than the first wave.”

He also assured that there had been dialogue with the vice president, saying “we’ve spoken to her [Rodriguez] numerous times, and she understands, she understands.”

Rodriguez is not a fan of how the United States acted, but has not closed the door on “respectful relations” with America.

“Here, we have a government with clarity, and I repeat and repeat again … we are willing to have respectful relations,” she said. “It is the only thing we will accept for a type of relationship after having attacked [Venezuela].”

Trump also clarified a previous comment made about Cuba, which was made immediately following the Venezuela operation and had many people wondering if that country would be next.

“No, Cuba is going to fall of its own volition. Cuba is doing very poorly,” he explained.

This is similar to what the president had said on Saturday.

“Cuba is an interesting case. Cuba is not doing well right now. That system has not been a very good one for Cuba,” Trump said at the time. “The people have suffered for many, many years, and I think that Cuba is going to be something we’ll end up talking about because Cuba is a failing nation right now, a very badly failing nation, and we want to help the people.”

“Suffice to say that Cuba is a disaster. It’s run by incompetent, senile men and in some cases, not senile, but incompetent nonetheless; it has no economy and total collapse,” Rubio added. “By the way, they were — all of the guards that helped protect Maduro, this is well known — their whole spy agency was full of Cubans. It’s amazing that this poor island took over Venezuela in some cases. And one of the biggest problems that Venezuela has… they have to declare independence from Cuba. If I lived in Havana, in the government, I would be concerned.”
