Stephen Miller says authorities in Minnesota have been given a standdown order

Stephen Miller, top aide to President Donald Trump, claimed on social media that authorities in Minnesota have been given a standdown order.

It started when podcaster Tim Pool made a post on the things he was “hearing out of Minnesota,” which was then shared by journalist Miranda Devine.

Look:

“The things im hearing out of Minneapolis are insane. Activists forcing their way into churches, attacking random pedestrians, stalking SUVs. Wtf is going on,” Pool wrote, prompting Devine to respond, “Local cops have gone AWOL.”

Miller shared Devine’s take, stating that “only federal officers” were on scene to uphold the rule of law following the shooting death of anti-ICE protester Renee Good. Her death has resulted in a flood of protests and action from leftists outraged by the Trump administration’s actions.

“Only federal officers are upholding the law. Local and state police have been ordered to stand down and surrender,” he posted.

This comes after Miller made statements on Thursday’s episode of The Charlie Kirk Show, where he called the swarms of leftist protesters “an insurgency” and urged people to listen to their own rhetoric.

Listen:

“You only have to read their own words and hear their own words and judge their own conduct to understand that this is clearly an insurgency against the federal government. They are describing the federal government as an occupying force. Just think about that for a second.”
