The struggling Red Baron employee targeted by a “prankster” has issued a personal message to those who support him.
Walt Z. posted an update to the GoFundMe created on his behalf, which has already nearly reached its $700,000 donation goal in just four days.
“I wanted to take a moment to personally thank everyone who has donated, shared this fundraiser, or left a kind message. The kindness and encouragement you’ve shown me and my family have meant more than I can put into words,” he wrote. “My family and I are doing well, and I’m grateful to have supportive people around me. I’ve been keeping things private to protect my family’s privacy, and I appreciate everyone respecting that.”
“I’ve also received a lot of interview requests. Being in the spotlight isn’t something I would normally seek out, but I’m considering sharing my story. Before making that decision, I want to make sure it’s with people who will treat me and my family with care and respect our privacy,” the father-of-four added. “Please know that even if I haven’t responded to your message or comment, your support has made a difference. From me and my family, thank you.”
As BizPac Review previously posted, Walt was targeted by some clout-chasing Instagram prankster while he was just trying to do his job. The troll asked the man what time it was, prompting him to stop what he was doing and pull out his phone.
“I just took your money,” the man said. Walt left to report the man, who then continued to harass him as he left the property. This caused the tired employee to snap, unleashing a tirade on the internet troll.
“My life is hard enough as it is, okay? I don’t need this crap. I got kids at home that went to bed without me right now. I was supposed to be off an hour ago. I gotta wake up at 5 in the morning and do 10 more stores!” he shouted. “You’re probably making money off of this. I can’t even pay my godd**n mortgage. And I got four kids at home! So not funny!”

FOUR KIDS AT HOME AND THEY’RE FILMING HIM FOR CLOUT??
Harmless content, or picked the wrong guy?
A Red Baron rep is stocking a grocery store freezer when a couple of young people with a camera start messing with him. He snaps, then tells them he has to be up at 5 in the morning, he’s still out working late, he’s got four kids at home and he can’t pay his mortgage.
If that were my son holding that phone, the video would come down and he’d be finding that man to apologize to his face.
Yes, he lost his cool. Calling somebody a punk on camera never helps your case.
Now look at what he’s carrying. Early mornings, more stores to hit, four kids and a mortgage. And somebody decided his bad day would make good content.
There’s a guy like him in every grocery store in America, grinding through the shift nobody sees. Turning one of them into the punchline isn’t edgy. It’s lazy.
Leave the working man alone. He’s got enough on his plate.

People have rallied behind Walt and raised an unbelievable amount of money for a man who is working hard to give his family a decent life. A shocking $38,000 was donated by Vivek and Apoorva Ramaswamy, as Vivek runs to be Ohio’s next governor.
And despite fears that he may lose his job due to the now-viral and well-deserved outburst, Red Baron parent company, Schwan’s Company, released a statement indicating that they are on Walt’s side.
“We are aware of the video circulating on social media involving one of our Direct Store Delivery employees during an incident that occurred in August. Following the incident, we connected directly with our team member to check on his well-being, and we continue to offer our support. We are pleased to share that he is doing well and remains a valued member of our team,” a spokesperson said.
They also quickly made him employee of the month, recognizing the hard work of a man breaking his back at two jobs.
