‘Sugar brother’ lawyer testifies Trump impeachment prompted him to pay Hunter Biden’s back taxes

New testimony from Hunter Biden’s “sugar brother” alleged an unexpected scapegoat for the obscene generosity offered to the scandal-ridden politician’s son: then-President Donald Trump.

Weeks away from President Joe Biden’s son’s scheduled deposition with Congress, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability and House Judiciary Committee have slated meetings with a slew of Hunter’s associates. This included an interview with high-powered Hollywood attorney Kevin Morris, the man responsible for footing the estimated $2 million in tax debts previously owed by the younger Biden.

Including respective chairs Rep. James Comer (R-KY), Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Ways and Means Committee chair Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO), the transcript of Morris’ Thursday interview was released Tuesday where he attempted to justify handing over a seven-figure sum to a man he’d known for a few months because of the impeachment of Trump.

“I believe that, you know, remember that the Trump impeachment process was going on at this time. And, you know, they were waiving around the possibility of calling Hunter, you know, right until the very end. I believe that it wrapped up. I believe that was the emergen — I believe that, you know, that was the thing prompting us — you know, this is about preparing his tax returns,” said Morris.

The attorney was responding to questioning about an email sent on Feb. 7, 2020, two days after the Senate had acquitted Trump after his first impeachment.

An excerpt from that email read, “Emergency is offered today. Still need to file Monday — we are under considerable risk personally and politically to get the returns in.”

“I’m guessing,” tried Morris, “I’m speculating that that’s what I was talking about. It’s 4 years ago I looked at the calendar; what was going on there.”

Said to have forked over nearly $5 million to Hunter “for personal expenses” after the pair had met in late 2019, months after Biden had announced his bid for the White House, Morris went on, “Look, this is a general description of things.”

“You know, I’m happy to — personally — you know, again, there’s no cardinality between these two things. We shouldn’t try to establish it differently. They work together. It’s a quick email from an attorney, asking his accountants to hustle up. And, you know, personally, he hadn’t filed his taxes. Okay? That’s his personal problem. And then, politically, could — you know — look, there was an impeachment proceeding going on,” said the attorney. “His name was and face was everywhere in the world.”

Additionally, Morris confirmed that he still held the 10% stake in Bohai Harvest RST LLC (BHR) that he had acquired from Skaneateles LLC, the equity firm that Hunter had previously owned maintaining his connections with Chinese businesses up until a month before his father was sworn in as president.

“I did the transaction because, you know, I evaluated it as a businessman, and I thought it was something that could be a very successful investment,” claimed Morris. “I — you know, but I did diligence on the assets. I knew what — I knew what Hunter paid for it in the beginning, and I saw, and I still see upside.”

“Look, I am going to do the best I can, okay? I thought it ended up being [$157,000] in cash. There was also a payment in there for — there was a $250,000 payment for a loan. I can’t remember if that’s part of that transaction, but if it is — that’s what it does — and whatever the — I believe those two were combined for the purchase price,” he added of his taking over Hunter’s BHR shares.

Faced with felony indictments in Delaware and California over federal gun charges and tax crimes, the congressional probe of Hunter further compounded the legal woes and spoke to the alleged criminal bribery of the Biden family. Comer addressed this in a statement as he said, “Kevin Morris’s massive financial support to Hunter Biden raises ethical and campaign finance concerns for President Joe Biden.”

“Kevin Morris admitted he has ‘loaned’ the president’s son at least $5 million. These ‘loans’ don’t have to be repaid until after the next presidential election and the ‘loans’ may ultimately be forgiven,” the congressman added.

“Since Kevin Morris has kept President Biden’s son financially afloat, he’s had access to the Biden White House and has spoken to President Biden. This follows a familiar pattern where Hunter Biden’s associates have access to Joe Biden himself,” asserted Comer. “As we continue more interviews this month and the next, we will continue to follow the facts to understand the full scope of President Biden and his family’s corruption.”
